Never heard that before. Trying to decide whether it's very good or very bad, MC, but it was fun.

Very good music and attitude, very bad lyrics and dancing, I think! :D

United Balls were a German New Wave/Ska band from Munich that had their breakthrough during the Neue Deutsche Welle in the early 80ies. "Pogo in Togo" was released in 1981, I think.

The repetitive lyrics aside, it's just fun, energetic music with a ridiculous beat and tempo.

Yes, would have been a good live band, I imagine, especially after fünf grosse flaschen bier. :D

Whenever people tell me they like 80s music, I don't understand what they mean as does that mean they like Spandau Ballet AND Napalm Death?

And this, presumably:

Eagle eyed viewers will spot this gentleman was a Macc Lads support act, so you've got a pretty good idea of the level we're dealing with here. A most unfortunate earworm for me a couple of weekends ago

The history of the 80s seems to have been well and truly rewritten in the public imagination. People now seem to assume it was all about yuppies, bouffant hairdos and New Romantic bands.

I remember a bit of that shite, but I also remember an awful lot of outstanding music - and of political conflict/economic hardship.

Laugh now, youngsters, but in 30 years time your era of the 2010s will be remembered for booming house prices and people dancing Gangnam style and wearing their trousers below their pants.

As someone who lived through the seventies I'm no stranger to dodgy fashion statements, but has there ever been a sillier fashion than that?
