Pointless trivia of the day.

 

The Stones wrote and recorded Out of Time but decided not to release it so they gave to Chris Farlowe who sung it over their backing track. When Farlowe's version was a hit they decided to release their own version after all ,so both hits have the same backing track.

Didn't know that. I knew it was a Jagger/Richard composition and heard the Stones' version once....not as good as Farlowe's, I thought. So either his vocals were better or his producer was....

 

Edit: Had to Youtube the Stones' version to check why I preferred Farlowe's version.....it's the vocals. He sings it more as if he really means it, whereas Jagger's delivery is a bit mannered. Not bad, but not as good.

You're right that it's the same backing track.
