The Hungarian player, who could play on the wing or as a wing-back, showed plenty of promise on his debut for the Foxes but failed to live up to the early expectations. Coming through the Ferencvaros youth system, he made over 50 appearances for the club before joining Olympiacos. City took him on trial in December 2007 and decided to sign him on-loan the following January, being impressed with his ability. He made his debut in a 2-0 win over Coventry City a few days later and received a standing ovation from the Foxes fans when he was substituted. But that performance was to be his best and he only played eight more games as City were relegated from the Championship. They had the option to make the deal permanent but Laczkó left in the summer.
