‘The Mother of all Cons’ on the BBC has been a fascinating watch, still got the final episode to complete.

At the risk of causing offence, I think quite a few have always had that mindset of entitlement towards women. It was just more socially acceptable back then and (thankfully) is becoming less so now, so those with that mindset, like the dinosaurs they are, are roaring and trying to preserve their own entitlement, even when the meteor is incoming.
Absolutely no offence caused. Interesting review from Durham University and the stats make sobering reading.

I think this is a bit of two things; there was a lot of misogynistic violence back then, we just didn't get to hear about it as much, and social media aiding and abetting such misogynist trends by helping pieces of shite connect with and encourage each other in their shiity behaviour.
To a certain extent yes and the internet of course will connect like minded individuals. However, the issue of why do so many have this mindset of entitlement is the real conundrum.

... what is it with too many blokes and being knuckle dragging shitebags to women simply because of some grotesque idea that they have the right to do it to them?
I posted this very question about a year ago. Why are very so many inadequate men around that can’t deal with rejection? I don’t remember there being so many instances of this type of misogyny say 30 years ago.

I didn't know Tony Livesey was an editor at the Sport "newspapers" before BBC. Christ that must have been a crazy place to work in the 90's.
I remember the tv documentary on the Sport, where Livesey ‘interviewed’ a woman, who thought her son had been reincarnated as a fishfinger!

So the one at the "Butchers" didn't deserve empty stadiums?
The Saudis haven’t joined in just yet!

Stadiums could be half empty with ridiculous ticket prices, expensive food and drink and then this.
If any major event deserves half empty stadiums it’s this one.

Very funny that their parade is today
We won the league after 22 years, don’t think yesterday’s events will spoil that celebration.

No disgrace and not the trashing that lots were hoping for. PSG move the ball around fantastically well and were always on the front foot. I would have liked us to show more intent in extra time and the attacking subs were dreadful. Still I am really not going to complain about the season overall.

Conte in 2018, Mancini in 2013, Ancelotti in 2011.
Should have guessed there would be a Chelsea manager, or two in there somewhere!

Apart from Ranieri, can’t think of another manager sacked before completing/starting a 2nd season after winning the title in their first.

So it’s not been passed to the RSPCA and Police then?
Should nothing happen then just because it was only a couple of dogs that were in the car?
Trust me, I do too. There’s no excuse for what’s happened here. RSPCA and Police can both make referrals for the guy while also assessing whether this should go to the CPS or not.
Theres clear precedents for this. Sentencings have happened, orders to prevent that person owning dogs/pets again and fines.
The MH and stress are mitagations, not defences.
I rarely agree with your posts, but unfortunately your last paragraph is correct.

I would love to watch a free flowing game of football, but we will probably try to dig in and try to frustrate them. Having said that I would take an own goal off Marquinhos’ s bum, or anyone else’s for that matter, if it was the winner!

Never thought I'd want to see a french team win anything but the idea of Arsenal winning the champions league brings you some dread. Can't bare the thought of likes of Keir Starmer or Piers Morgan looking smug.
Biggest laugh for years out so called big clubs; Arsenal are the only one not to have won the champions league, even Villa, Celtic and Forest have won it.
Our record is appalling in this competition. Really should have won it in the early 2000s.

Weather forecasters, or reporters that presume to speak for the entire country. I don’t like the extreme heat, so the weather isn’t‘ actually “glorious” or “sensational”. I want the facts, not your interpretation of them!

Bournemouth’s 18 game unbeaten run was an incredible achievement.

Great way for Man City to send off their leavers. Irrelevant but still amusing.

Same as Arteta.
Done a remarkable job winning the league with Set piece fc/Stoke and only spending a few hundred billion………Not really the same. Arteta took over Arsenal when they hadn't won the title for 15 years. Don't think Guardiola took over a club, who hadn't previously gone 2 or 3 years, without winning a title.

Hard to judge a man who has only managed minnows like Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Man City! How is he expected to win anything with them.

Does anyone rate Madueke? To me he has always looked useless. Just runs at players then loses the ball. Barnes is better than him (no bias). Also KDH offers something different and is better than Henderson. He's taken Reece James and Stones who are both injury prone and left a guy in Maguire that has played well and helped a team from nest the bottom to 3rd on the league.
Doesn't scream winners to me...seems dodgy.
Unfortunately, he appears to be exactly the sort of player many Arsenal fans feared he would be when signed from Chelsea. Far too inconsistent to be effective over a season, because there's just not enough end product. The amount of times he falls over is absurd, not sure if at times he actually has wheels on his boots!

For a so-called 'Big Club' you have to ask why has it taken them 22 years to win the title?
It’s a very difficult league to win. There was a 18 year gap before Graham won it. Football is cyclical. Ask Man U and Chelsea the same question.
