  1. Thanks for all the advice everyone gave. The lad had an absolute blast and we managed to get in and out in decent time.
  2. Is there anywhere you'd recommend to park? Guy at work said near the hospital.
  3. Apparently there's roadworks near Freeman's that are an issue for parking near Freeman's according to a guy at work. Is that right or nonsense?
  4. Thinking I'll try parking at Freeman's. Looks a decent price and relatively close by. Guessing from the above that I don't need to book in advance and can just turn up early on the day.
  5. How quickly can you get into the stadium, is it fairly quick or does it take ages like some do?
  6. Happy to buy him something from a burger van and the concourse if he wants it. Is it easy to get served at half time or is it a nightmare like most places?
  7. Cheers. I expect you'll beat Argyle, just hope they get some consolation goals (seems to be the norm for them) and the lad has a good day out. You only go to your first game once and it's something you always remember so want to make it nice for him (as long as he doesn't cheer when you score and get us kicked out the away end or attacked by a few thousand angry farmer's).
  8. Thanks. I'll be honest none of these places mean anything to me but I'll take a look at them online. Thanks.
  9. I'm leaning towards driving in as don't know the area at all and public transport sounds like a faff, so this sounds like a plan. Is it a set car park you use or just off street?
  10. Wife's brother's son so not actually a blood relative but nobody is up for taking him to a game so I will. His Dad moved from Cheshire to Hinckley for work before he was born. I don't live in Leicestershire and have no connection to the club or area, just trying to do something nice for a good kid. Assuming you mean your title win and not Argyle's League One title last year? If so, it was great to see a non big 6 team win the league but it was surprising.
  11. I couldn't get ticket's for Leicester (you appear to be selling out most games) so will be sat with the away/Argyle fans. I have family in Devon who have fan memberships with them so used that. Not ideal for the nephew but best I could to.
  12. I'd love a good curry but don't think he'd be too keen. As it's his first ever game I kinda feel eating from a burger van is appropriate.
  13. They live on Ashby Road (near the Asda) so that sounds like an option. Is parking an option near the ground? I'm assuming it'd be a nightmare getting in and out. A 20 or 30 minute walk to the stadium is fine as he's 12.
  14. Hi, Full disclosure I'm not a Leicester fan but my nephew is. He's never been to a live game before so I've agreed to take him to the Plymouth one in a few weeks and have managed to get tickets. I've never been to the King Power before and dont know Leicester at all, so would appreciate any advice in terms of getting to the game from Hinckley, places to eat or avoid, best time/place for him when to try and get autographs or visit the club shop or anything else worth knowing? Thanks in advance.
