I would definitely keep for next year, could have a good season and can play a number of roles which you need in the Championship

He knows he'll never get this wage again. He'll stay until the end of his contract and leave on a free to someone like Legia Warsaw.
A depressing reality.

More than good enough for the Championship when Mads goes. Not worried about GK position next year.
-
I really hope we keep him. I know he'll have suitors and we will end up needing the money as he's one of our only valuable assets but I feel like he could be the main man next year. Needs to get more consistent but he seems like he has the right attitude and his talent is obvious.

Not good enough, but will be very hard to move on I feel.
-
Wouldn't mind if we kept him but I feel like the decision might be financial - I think there's bigger issues with the squad and in the right system he would do well. I mentioned on the Thomas thread but I feel like what's been asked of the fullbacks this season seemed to change every game so would be hard to get any consistency. Most minutes played for us this year too and when he was getting a lot of flack never hid.

Must have the whole family busy voting each weekend!
I think Luke will do well next year - I think getting him more consistent is key but a lot of that rests more on finding the right manager and settling into an actual formation. I've felt for the fullbacks this year under Cooper and RVN as I feel like every other game what they were being asked to do was changing.

Hopefully they're just spellchecking the statement.

One of the only things exciting me about next year currently is watching him develop over the season. Could be a great player for us over the years.

We've not been up to scratch anywhere on the pitch all season but our midfield's inability to control the game at all this season heaped much more pressure on our defense and kneecapped our attack every game I've seen - and while most the blame needs to go to Cooper/RVN, Soumare has been the worst culprit for me in our midfielders. Ineffective all year.

No wonder their fans were annoyed. We had players missing plus a terrible attitude, if they tested us we would go. Why wasn't Dibling starting?
I hope they get the point but cannot see it now.
To be fair Dibling played the second half and barely got on the ball. Wonder if he's just waiting now for his big move.

It feels like the right thing for both him and the club at this point but it is still gutting and leaves me with a bit of an empty feeling. Feel lucky to have watched him terrorise defenders up and down the country!
Legend in the truest sense of the word.

Will be up to the next manager (hopefully) what happens to him but I think he will be a decent option in the long Championship season and I think the right system will help him

Their first goal. Who was Justin picking up, the grass. What an utterly disgusting performance.
Their first goal comes from Ndidi being weak in the tackle and Newcastle getting through the midfield with no resistance. He closes the gap to Barnes as you would expect but it's 2 on 1 so I don't know what you expect him to do. If you look at Daka's starting position and Livramento's starting position you could say Daka wasn't busting a gut to get back and help but I'm not sure it would make much of a difference as Livramento was already in full stride. I don't think VK has done much wrong either at the back post as it's just a great ball across in the end. We're in that position because Ndidi and Soumare are both drawn towards the ball and are occupying the same space, the Newcastle player takes a dreadful touch so you'd expect Ndidi to make the tackle but he doesn't fully commit and the Newcastle player does commit and comes out with the ball and one simple pass to Joelinton who is in the acres of space between the defence and midfield completely takes our midfield out the game.
I think it comes down to having no structure or positional discipline. Midfielders drawn to the ball leaving huge gaps. Is the defence supposed to be playing a high line or playing deep there? Who knows.

Why Ruud persists with this ridiculous formation and lineup is so beyond me I feel like I'm losing my mind. VK and Thomas?!?!? Thomas CB?!?!?! Daka AND Vardy?!?!?! Lord have mercy

-
Good thing we've got two left backs on to really shut down that side of the pitch
-
Please, score a goal
-
Get JJ on the left and Woyo on the right and take off one of either Vardy or Daka and bring Mavididi or Ayew to play behind the striker
-
RVN must be the least dynamic manager to ever manage a game in this league. Not a clue.
We've got endless weaknesses on the pitch but he does absolutely nothing whatsoever to try and mitigate them. It honestly looks like he just sends them out and hopes they'll figure it out themselves when they're out there.

Last season he started 26 games and came on as a sub in another 6, making 32 total league appearances for Bologna who finished 5th with the 3rd best defense in the league and qualified for the Champion's League.
It's baffling seeing how lost he looks on a football pitch at the moment.

It's hard to see what Daka was meant to be doing in whatever role he was being asked to play
