Yep I’m having that - iv never seen hatred like it for a bloke that hasn’t even been appointed and I’m still not sure after reading a lot of posts what exactly he’s done wrong to us

I think unfortunately he is the scapegoat for all the frustration of the last few years

I personally hope he does well

Next season realistically we'll be viewed as a promotion contender in the championship IF we get promoted (big if) and we probably offer bigger wages than most Championship teams, so it's whether you can play to a few of these managers egos to think that we're their quickest way back to the Premier League over teams like Stoke or Portsmouth etc.

That is some blue sky thinking.

A few people have mentioned it on social media and a few websites in the last few hours.

Don't pretend to be in the know just relaying what I've read and heard.

A think a few people need to chill I'm just passing info on not ITK at all.

Exactly what an ITK would say.

    What’s Manish doing on it?

I’m guessing they dont know what the fvck they’re doing so Manish is the pro holding it together.

This is going to be worse than the TV show.

100% he’ll be on I’m a Celebrity, Strictly, the ice skating one or some other shit before long.

Absolute legend but this stuff is horrible to see.

For the first time Maresca will have the reins at a well ran club. He's been successful so far at shitshows so with a steady environment where he already knows 80% of the squad should see him flourish.

He's only managed what, 2 full seasons too?

    Hot take of the day

He'd still bag goals and it'd be a little uplift for us all to see him back..  however, it just delays what we are currently supposed to be doing and that's replacing him.. so for me, as much as Id love to see him play in a Leicester shirt again, its a no. We have to use this season to have a complete rebuild as much as possible.

Realistically for Vards with Crem about to drop, a year or two in the states should be where hes looking. Lower standard, money to be had, might be the right time for that off the back of the netflix doc. Good luck to him wherever he goes, but we need to move on

This basically sums it up for me.

But what if the club knows who it wants but is not in a position to appoint them until after the play-off situation has been resolved or the new financial year has begun?

They have done nothing in the last 5 years to warrant the granting of any benefit of the doubt but I do applaud you for proposing it.

The problem is, while rushing to get somebody in may appease an understandably impatient fanbase, it wouldn't necessarily lead to us appointing the best candidate. Obviously the ideal scenario is that we get the best available candidate in and we do it soon, but IF the choice was between appointing a mediocre manager this week or waiting until July to appoint a very good manager, I would prefer us to do the latter.

I think this is slightly unfair.

The impatience isnt around rushing to appoint someone.  The impatience is that they shouldn’t need to as they should have contingency in place to be able to make an appointment in good time.
