  1. Looks like there's plenty going to Imperial
  2. No idea if anyone is even using this board/thread these days, so about to send an email to all those I was in contact with in 2016. I've asked around 4 pubs in Melboune and I think the best bet is the Imperial, who will be preapred to stay open after the Liverpool game for the FA Cup Final *If* we can guarantee around 20 or 30 people to make it worthwhile. My 21 year old son and probabaly my 18 yr old daughter are interested, just need to know there'll be enough others. My reasoning as follows - Crafty Squire definitely showing it, but it's achelsea supporters pub so I'd rather not! - Elephant & Wheelbarrow - non commital - Charles Dickens - wanted a minimum 30. though the old guy is no longer there, my experience from 2016 where he switche the teles off as we wanetd to watch, despite asking him days before, I'd rather not. - casioino - inconvenient an dthey tried to kick us out for being too noisy in 2016 Imperial are happy to have us, with a lower number than Charles Dickens. I like the layout of their room - big TV at the end of the room It's really convenient for public transport. I'll probabaly drive and I guarantee I'll get parking at that time. Get back to me if anyone is reading or email on [email protected]
  3. I could stay home and annoy my wife by yelling all night, but trying to convince my 21 yr old son and 18 yr old daughter to go into the city. Wherever any other fans are going. The trophy lift game at Casino was good after The Charles Dickens reneged on staying open, but I'll check out Imperial as I work close by. Dunno if you have to register for such things intense days ..
  4. Ok. I haven't been on here since 2016. What are Melbourne Foxiles plans for FA Cup final viewing? Casino again?
  5. On way on train. 10 clappers to a lucky few.
  6. Oh boy - we did it!! If you saw someone in a jester hat around the CBD or Croydon it was probably me!! I got the time of the Everton game wrong - it's 2;30 am k/o so we should be lifting that big pot at around 4:30am (Can I believe it is happening!) So I am going to get a train from Croydon at 12:06 or 12:36... except it's a bus to Blackburn as they are doing works. the 4:43 train back is too early so will get 5:43 from Flinders. Hopefully home and in bed soon after 7am! Anyone out this way travelling in? Glad it's the Charles Dickens as I know it and the guy there seems happy to accommodate. I spoke to him on Tuesday. Will definitely have the jesters hat on and full colours. Can I write this again LEICESTER CITY, PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS 2015/16!!!!!!!
  7. yes, Dickens is open all night Saturday/Sunday and the old guy there said we are welcome what's the majority verdict?
  8. It looks like there's a few chosing the Dickens on Saturday. I spoke to the guy there a while back and he's open til 7am. Was pleased if we go there. I might drop by again durng the week. But may yet decide on the Savoy. Anyone travelling from Eastern Suburbs, I am thinkng of going on train around 11:30 after a catch up at friends, but there are buses replacing trains on Lilydale line, so might rethink. I am assuming we get the trophy at the game?????????
  9. BRING ON THE SUNDERLAND AND ARSENAL, BRING ON SCOUSERS BY THE SCORE, BARCELONA, REAL MADRID, THEY'LL ALL MAKE A MIGHTY BID, BUT YOU CAN'T BEAT LEICSTER ANYMORE!!
  10. Have I died and gone to heaven? Leicester City are THE CHAMPIONS OF ENGLAND!! for the first time ever!!! #DELERIUM
  11. I ended up wearing my shirt to work Last seasons Over my Le Coq Sportif LCFC rugby shirt I don't care if anyone doesn't like it Already prompted some conversatiosn at work and in the cafe
  12. Hope you'll all be supporting this. http://m.leicestermercury.co.uk/Leicester-Mercury-BBC-Radio-Leicester-launch/story-29076853-detail/story.html Maybe should meet up with anyone who works in the city tomorrow?
  13. Frankston Fox every time I read your posts you seem to be of like mind. Shallvi reserve you a clapper..
  14. 15 clap banners arrived in post from a mate Come on feel the noize!
  15. Hi Lesta fan since the early 80s living in Melbourne since 2001. Yesterday I sent an email to lots of Leicester City fans I was in touch with years ago and was pointed to Foxes Talk (which I posted on briefly way back... 2007?) which seems a better place to discuss. I suggested the Charles Dickens for a meet up for the Everton game having been there before a few times including when I met up with the Leicester City Supporters of Australia back in.... 2010(?) But ultimately it doesn't matter where so long as I can celebrate appropriately. I'm not inclinded to come into the Savoy this week as I can watch at home and crawl into bed. Even the possibility of a news crew is unlikely to to tempt me :-) I was aiming for the game when we might be handed the trophy (do we know if we get it at Everton if we have won by then? - I understood we would). And Everton being a Saturday night means this poor old usually non-drinking bloke has some recovery time.... and 2 of my kids are away so I might get recovery time on the Sunday. Having said that I might be tempted for the Chelsea game too and take the Monday off. There was a Leicester City Supporters Club of Australia a few years ago run by Justin Cartwright and I met up with them/him twice at Charles Dickens (and once at a Victory game). It seeemed to stop once Justin went overseas. The Ausfox.net domain has also now expired as of last year. I asked the old guy at the Dickens the other day and he was enthusiastic. Like just about everyone else was excited about the prospect of Lesta winning it. Happy to join a revamped club, but as someone else said, the flag looks too much like Melbourne City and my allegiance is to Victory since the start. Oh.... and a mate is sending me some clap banners, though they may have got lost in the post they've taken so long :-( I am aiming to be in the city (at whichever venue is most popular) on Sat 7th/Sun 8th to watch the Everton game and bring the Lesta fans I know, plus anyone else interested. I will probabaly look somethng like this.... <errr! I can't upload the photo!> ... oh never mind! Up The City!
