I know we’re all fairly neg at the moment and rightly so but finally there’s loads of dross on high wages leaving and we have some quality youngsters. If we can get the manager recruitment right and bring in some quality reinforcements then there’s a good project in play here and League One provides a great platform for some of the youngsters to grow. Don’t know why I’m being so positive I need to take a look at myself

But wasn't Rowett doing that?
He continually said that they trained and spoke about doing things differently, then when they walk over the line they don't....
Wellens started by saying how he loved working with new owners then laid into players and some fans..because the wasn't always supportive (something along those lines anyway 😉
Heavily debated on talksport yesterday evening 🤪
There’s part of me that thinks when I manager goes in that hard then he probably won’t be in a job come Tuesday…

I'm not being facetious here - do we have any faith that our recruitment system has any real knowledge of League One level players or how to operate in this market?
If I were them I’d be studying Wrexham’s squad and seeing what type of players they brought in, 1 to gain promotion from League One and 2 to challenge within the Championship
but I’m fairly sure they will think they know better

Can we end the Rowett experiment first thing tomorrow morning please?

We just don’t create anything of any real purpose do we…

We do still get them but I think we've factored anything until Feb 2027 with Macquarie so we won't see the cash, the PL will pay direct to the bank. They could, I suppose, do the same with the Y3 amount but it's much smaller (especially if it's at an 8-9% interest rate). Given big overheads, dropping ticket sales, reduced tv income and limited squad resale value I am intrigued to see where the club get the cash to operate next season from.
My only optimism sits in the fact that maybe this can be our lowest point from where we can somehow rebuild and bounce back stronger in Sunderland-esq style given our history and foundations.
but perhaps I’ve had too much optimism juice and should give myself a slap of reality with regards to who is steering the ship

Id be amazed if McCarron sees out his probation at this point.
He’s still not personally announced he’s here. He had a big job at the city group so don’t think his pay rise will have been substantial enough to swallow being a League 1 Director of football.
He attended that one game the new directors came to but hasn’t been since.
I think he and the commercial director might have a rethink before the start of the season!
If I was him and I had a get out clause due to relegation then I’d run for the hills

Do we still receive parachute payment money in league one? Assuming we do plus the fact many higher earners can finally be released or sold then surely we’ll be in a financial position for a complete rebuild?
however, this McCarron bloke needs to lead it and not the totally inept Rudders. And arguably the most important appointment will be a manager capable of getting his ideas across to the players in a way that wins football matches
I’ve lost total faith in the club so all this is hope rather than expectation

I’m not really sure what we have been trying to do at all this season, what is our style? I’ve no idea. I had no idea under Cifuentes and I still have no idea. They were both shit, I’m not really sure why people say Marti was better, he is really the one who set this in motion and was a useless lying ****ing idiot
I’ve had no idea since Maresca left

The bloke spends most of his time on the sideline shaking his head at the decisions the players are making on the pitch.
He’s clearly realised what an inept, lazy bunch of scrotes he’s in charge of…oh and by the way Gary you’ve done absolutely nothing to improve them.
Get the owners in the bin
Get the board in the bin
Get Gary Rowett in the bin
Get 75% of the squad in the bin
This club is going to take a lot of change and work to stop the rot, and probably a lot of time!

100%. Big physical side who will leave everything on the pitch. Complete opposite to what we are

Getting deeper and deeper and deeper
usual stuff

I know we’re 2-0 up but I HATE the fact Abdul keeps breaking and then puts the brakes on. Run at them!! We can’t keep a clean sheet so need more goals

Daka gets a confidence boost with a goal and Gaz decides he’ll stick him on the bench
make it make sense

Good lord that’s about as rotten as it gets!

Good point but means nothing if we can’t sort our home form out

£10m + addons feels a decent deal assuming that money can be used for the Summer rebuild.
