Not football related, but have always struggled to understand why some from Nottingham support Leicester Tigers. I know a few. Perhaps rugby is less tribal, but I’ve still always found it odd.

Probably the same reason people from all over the East Mids will go and watch Panthers. If you have a passing interest in the sport and want to watch it at the top level, there’s not really another option.

It kicked off under the bridge to the car park and around the traffic lights there. Didn’t see the start but heard from cov fans it was there lads that had picked out some Leicester fans just walking back. As many of their fans as ours trying to stop it and protect a lad getting a beating on the floor to be fair

I believe it. Walking through the crowds before the game, the amount of blokes dropping shoulders into me 🙄

I somehow feel Matt Smith has moved on from doctor who. Whenever asked at events if hed ever return he seems to just laugh and be like "i might come back as a villain" i think cause hes reached Hollywood he thinks he doesnt need this show. He got what wanted from it.

I don’t get the impression he sees himself as above Doctor Who. He’s got that Netflix/GoT/Marvel money, and is surely very in demand. He wouldn’t do the various conventions if he didn’t like meeting fans and being associated with the show. I’m sure he’s said before he regretted leaving when he did and wished to have stayed on another year.

I also read somewhere that he’d never seen the show before being cast, and ended up getting so into it he was writing fanfic? lol

I think his stance just firmly in the middle of Tennant’s (would return at the drop of a hat), and Capaldi’s (feels his character arc is complete and returning would take away from it). He’s keeping the door open for one day, but there’s no need for him to come back to a franchise that would have him any time with open arms when right now he’s a genuine big name.

This is all my imagination. I’ve got no clue how he really feels of course. He played a brilliant Doctor though. Hands down my favourite.

Yeah mate its mentioned so many times from us. Just the same old ‘we are looking into it’ which is them just bashing it back into the long grass.

Few years ago we collated the ideas of alternative systems which we had asked the fanbase for ideas on. Club took it and we heard nowt back.

I remember you posting on here at the time to gather suggestions. Completely unsurprising we’re still in the exact same place now.

Best suggestion that’s stuck with me is everyone gets 1 point for a home game and 2 for an away. It means STHs still get a few years worth of 19 or 23 points a year guaranteed, and also means that members who do a lot of games stand a chance (including if and when they upgrade to an ST). Cap it at 5 years at the most.

STHs stay well ahead of the more casual fans who do 5 homes and 3 aways a year thinking that gives them priority over the long term STHs for more popular games, but it also stops everyone who hasn’t held one since Nugent and Wood were starting from getting somewhere worthwhile.

Its almost insulting to be awarded away points as a member lol

  5. It boggles my mind that anyone who hasn’t skated to a high level, or at least has a big, big interest in hockey, dares to have an opinion on whether this was intentional or not.

Not just on here of course, but all over the internet you’re seeing comments like “Haven’t ever been on the ice- I’m more of an F1 guy- but I did once have a cup of mulled wine at winter wonderland. Anyway he defo meant it. Lock him up.”.

Fwiw I’ve never managed to get more than 5 feet away from the edge of an ice rink. I wouldn’t have a clue how to interpret any leg movements or anything like that in a collision. I’ll remain openly ignorant on how exactly this tragedy happened.

How long will that take? Must be a long walk unless you know the shortcuts.

Go up Raw Dykes Road and immediately after Aldi, turn left onto the great central way. It goes in pretty much a straight line all the way to Blaby and beyond, down behind Evesham Road and all those little streets on that side of Braunstone and access to Glen Parva further on. It’s poorly lit though so you might find yourself alone in the dark after you passed the first mile or so.

Marc Albrighton’s 299th appearance for Leicester. Pretty incredible for a player who has been written off so many times only to make his case back into the side over the years

He’s this generations Andy King. Worraguy
