  1. There's so much you can debate about this, but I've come to a very simple conclusion. Ultimately, all of our problems boil down to Aiyawatt's personality flaws. The interview confirmed that he isn't capable or willing to change. We're therefore going nowhere under his reign ever again. It's grim.

  2. "I'm worried too, every year we try to comply with the PSR and the only year we don't know what it is, is the year we were relegated" (From Sky)

Wow. I'd say this is the best line yet - literally admits to not even knowing what PSR was when went down. Which explains an awful lot. You can't simultaneously blame missing out on Europe for not complying with something that you didn't understand in the first place. Absolute clown.

You can't go around tell the world someone is sacked before you tell the actual person.

But he wasn't being evasive as you would expect anyone to do in that situation. He came across like he genuinely did not plan to sack the manager and expanded on his comments to suggest he needed more support etc... This along with the fact that the club was briefing journalists all morning that Marti wasn't going suggest that Aiyawatt had his mind changed at the subsequent board meeting.

  4. He comes across like a naive child. I actually can’t believe how thick he is. Although it explains an awful lot. Completely reaffirms what anyone with half a brain already suspected - he’s totally incapable of running the club and must go.

Today probably proving why the comms director doesn’t recommend the chairman to speak.

Absolutely! But if Anthony had done a better job over the years, you don’t end up in a scenario where Aiyawatt feels pressured into doing a panicked interview to fill the enormous void. It’s another case of bad decisions/performance directly leading to more bad decisions. A common theme across the whole club these days.

  6. Disgraceful but not even surprised anymore, it’ll keep getting worse until Aiyawatt sods off. My fear when Whelan left was that, although she deserved her share of criticism, she was probably a bit of a voice of reason amongst this lot. Can’t imagine she’d have sanctioned this. It’s almost like our new MD has been hugely overpromoted…

  7. 0.03xg from open play last night - at home! You could forgive that against Man City maybe, not anyone in this league. He’s far from the main issue, we all know the squad isn’t good enough but he’s not even remotely getting the best out of what he’s got. I can’t get as passionate about the manager as usual because we’re going nowhere without big changes at the very top, but he’s a poor manager & shouldn’t be doing this badly. A matter of time before the inevitable.

  8. It would be extremely worrying, though not one bit surprising, if such senior staff members at the club would go out their way to censor this forum. I would expect Anthony to have far more important things to do with his time than actively seek to shut down online threads critiquing his performance. If he can't take the scrutiny, then he should resign from his position as a Director.
