There's so much you can debate about this, but I've come to a very simple conclusion. Ultimately, all of our problems boil down to Aiyawatt's personality flaws. The interview confirmed that he isn't capable or willing to change. We're therefore going nowhere under his reign ever again. It's grim.

"I'm worried too, every year we try to comply with the PSR and the only year we don't know what it is, is the year we were relegated" (From Sky)
Wow. I'd say this is the best line yet - literally admits to not even knowing what PSR was when went down. Which explains an awful lot. You can't simultaneously blame missing out on Europe for not complying with something that you didn't understand in the first place. Absolute clown.

Well apparently Rudkin can't be to blame because we won the Premier League 10 years ago!
-
The fact that they will simply be public scapegoats with little real power aside - I have absolutely zero faith in these idiots to appoint competent people to these positions in the first place.

But he wasn't being evasive as you would expect anyone to do in that situation. He came across like he genuinely did not plan to sack the manager and expanded on his comments to suggest he needed more support etc... This along with the fact that the club was briefing journalists all morning that Marti wasn't going suggest that Aiyawatt had his mind changed at the subsequent board meeting.

He comes across like a naive child. I actually can’t believe how thick he is. Although it explains an awful lot. Completely reaffirms what anyone with half a brain already suspected - he’s totally incapable of running the club and must go.

Today probably proving why the comms director doesn’t recommend the chairman to speak.
Absolutely! But if Anthony had done a better job over the years, you don’t end up in a scenario where Aiyawatt feels pressured into doing a panicked interview to fill the enormous void. It’s another case of bad decisions/performance directly leading to more bad decisions. A common theme across the whole club these days.

Apparently doing an interview today so get ready for PR Part II. I personally don’t care what he has to say anymore, don’t believe a word he says and have lost all respect for him. Too little, too late.

I wonder if tonight’s boycott will result in one of those rare moments where the club breaks silence and issues some sort of PR response, indirectly of course! Will Anthony crack!? 🤣

Don’t forget Owynn was appearing on LCFC TV in pre season. You scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours. Far too cosy with the club, in it for his own glory rather than to be a proper journalist it seems.

Disgraceful but not even surprised anymore, it’ll keep getting worse until Aiyawatt sods off. My fear when Whelan left was that, although she deserved her share of criticism, she was probably a bit of a voice of reason amongst this lot. Can’t imagine she’d have sanctioned this. It’s almost like our new MD has been hugely overpromoted…

Lots of debate as to whether we can even afford to sack him, but looking at how he was wet enough to pay half his own compo - there's always a chance we can convince him to pay for his own sacking!

0.03xg from open play last night - at home! You could forgive that against Man City maybe, not anyone in this league. He’s far from the main issue, we all know the squad isn’t good enough but he’s not even remotely getting the best out of what he’s got. I can’t get as passionate about the manager as usual because we’re going nowhere without big changes at the very top, but he’s a poor manager & shouldn’t be doing this badly. A matter of time before the inevitable.

Not that you’d notice his absence from the lack of comms, but has anyone else noticed that he and the rest of the board haven’t been in the directors box for the last couple of games? Seems to have been Rudders all on his own, which is very strange. Have they just stopped bothering to attend or is something going on?

The leadership Celtic's owner has shown is in stark contrast to the leadership vacuum here when we faced this exact situation. We let Rodgers do what he wanted, use his dodgy son to sign dross on big money (until it ran out), whinge endlessly and create a negative atmosphere at the club... and then didn't have the balls to sack him before it was too late.
It always comes back to an owner and DOF not having a clue what they're doing - so they delegate decisions to self serving individuals (mostly agents) at the expense of the club. That is a nutshell is why we're in such a mess.-

The constant deterioration of the squad will continue until this cretin is gone. There really isn't much more to say now, fed up of it.

£18m for Hermansen… Another negotiating masterclass from this charlatan.

If he was a standard employee of the club, then this would be a fair assessment. However, he's a Director and member of the board. He is the one in charge of this stuff, yes he might take the occasional order from Top with specific matters like the Thai military support. But overall communication strategy is absolutely on him & he will be making most of the decisions.

It would be extremely worrying, though not one bit surprising, if such senior staff members at the club would go out their way to censor this forum. I would expect Anthony to have far more important things to do with his time than actively seek to shut down online threads critiquing his performance. If he can't take the scrutiny, then he should resign from his position as a Director.

Following the latest fiasco with the display of support for the Thai military, I think it's about time this bloke got his own thread.
Increasingly mentioned on here on various threads, the clubs 'communications' have gone downhill ever since his promotion to Director of Communication in 2018.
Top, Rudkin & Whelan rightfully get most of the criticism, but the board is rotten to the core, and more of them deserve exposure (cue a thread on the Finance Director anyone?).He might be a puppet for KPFC, but it is clear that he buys into the arrogant 'Leicester way' of doing things, which does not believe in genuine communication with fans. There has been a gradual deterioration on this front ever since his appointment.
The club's failure to engage and communicate meaningfully and transparently with supporters exacerbates all other issues.
Good & effective communication go a very long way in maintaining unity, even throughout turbulent times. Whilst it isn't the 'be-all and end-all', the level of anger would be considerably lower with a totally different communication strategy.

It's impossible to come to any other conclusion than - they're incredibly arrogant and really don't care that much.
-
I don't blame him for holding out for compensation. The anger should instead be directed at the club for handing out a 2.5 year contract to an unproven manager, in a precarious situation with no relegation clause in it (as Southampton were smart enough to do). Even more so when they knew how tight the finances were.
