What's the rules with these subs?

Saw Somerset made 2 subs and a few others have made changes too. Surely they can't all be result of injuries?

Players can be subbed out for a 'like-for-like' replacement during a game if they're injured, too sick to continue or if a 'life changing' event happens in their personal life.

Injury & sickness replacements have to be signed off by the Chief Medical Officer. Think the life changing event replacements have to be signed off by both teams CEO's.

The Somerset subs during this round were Smeed for TKC (TKC suffered a bad hand injury taking a slip catch on morning of Day 1) and Vaughan for Goldsworthy (Goldsworthy did his hamstring on Day 2 I believe).

Smeed wasn't in the squad that travelled to Essex either - he had to travel over from Wales as he as playing in the 2s Vs Cardiff Uni the 3 days previous.

Interesting trial by the ECB - few concerns about teams potentially exploiting it. Personally I like it.

What's to feel bad about? Him losing his job is NOT equal to you or i losing ours. In the last year he has banked MILLIONS of pounds in being sacked alone. That isn't to mention the tens of thousands he has earned whilst being hopeless at his job.

This isn't a "hate the rich" type of deal. This is a "unlike the average person, him losing his job will not affect his ability to care for his family or pay the bills" kinda deal and at the end of the day, it won't be too long before he is back in a job, earning more than enough to live comfortably.

So, what's to feel bad about?

I think he's a bang average manager and he did a crap job up there.

I've got sympathy for him and the way he was hounded out pretty brutally, particularly at the end.

I'm not losing sleep over his sacking. No idea why people are so offended at the idea of having sympathy for the bloke.

    Sorry for him?

You have to make spectacularly bad decisions to get rangers out of the top and  basically turn up to keep them in the top two…

A nice chunky payout for a few months of failure. Feeling sorry for him?

Rangers are in need of RvN.

You do realise he's a human and not a TV character?

Absolutely criminal we let him go

Whatever the connotations of him leaving here, even under Rodgers we wouldn’t have gone down with him in nets.

To think some fans wanted him gone because he wasn’t Pirlo with his passes as well

Probably never quite got the love he deserved here because he played in the same side as the GOAT.

So glad to see him getting this sort of success late in his career.

I'm a Mavs fan and I'm fine with it. I think he's wanted out of Dallas for a while now. He's often overweight and unfit and can't play defense. Plus AD is one of the best defenders in the league (when fit ).

Trade package is still an absolute joke. If the Mavs were going to move Luka you'd surely want so much more in return.

    Just baffling
