  1. Just my luck

waiting for 30 minutes to learn that their rainy season is on when ours has finished.

city should have come to Japan where they’d had a better turn out of fans due to our Shinji connection.

now we have mc psg and random saudis teams playing for big money.

    hmmmm

  2. Not bad at the end after giving them a 3 goal lead.

Should have had a pk with their hand ball.  Ref didn't even bother to check VAR just goes to shows the big teams are favoured.

Second hand was a more even game when they took their best players off.  Could have had a draw on another day.

    We still have hope.

Foxes Never Quit.  Hope we can say this again:unsure:

    Weird.

I've always had a soft spot for them since the Keegan era and the interaction I've had with their fans they always come across as half decent.

I wouldnt begrudge them abit of success for all they have been through over the years.(Obviously  hope we roast them 6-0!)

It's not the fans fault who owns the club, but the fans do deserve something.

Very fair reflection and one that fans from well back would agree with.  IMO Newcastle are a very big club who have have had to put up with a lot of not so good owners etc

As a FOOTBALL fan I wish their supporters all the best.

After all it Twis the season.

However for the game come on City 🙂

  4. Great away win and one of the places we don't get much.

    Great performance and goals.

A bit disappointed at some posts slagging off Everton as crap l, especially as some called us that not so long ago.

Love banter, but not as mentioned.

Always remember reading about Everton fans giving up their tickets so Leicester could experience winning the premiership.

    Top supporters don't you think?

I think all English as first language speakers have an easy time of it - because it's become the 'lingua franca' globally, obliging non-English people to twist their tongues around our German-French mash-up.

I'd hate to have to learn English as a foreign language with its seriously confusing eccentricities - trying to explain to cousins why Leicester is pronounced Lester (or how folks from Co'ville or Whitik pronounce it

I learned German from an early age so I got a taste of approximation of sounds - V, F and W and the difference between a German and an English 'th'.

I've a friend from Glenfield married a Japanese girl - he retired to live near to Mount Fuji. He has never learned Japanese, which is a shame. But I can envisage how tough it would be to learn.

    What's your connection with Japan?

Living here, working here and the wife is Japanese ;)

    Ah - Birdie = Vardy!

All Leicester City fans worship Vardy. But he will retire in maybe two seasons.

Barnes is the better choice of your preferences. He grew up in Leicestershire and is the more exciting player - in my opinion.

It is possible he may play for England one day.

    Which player have you chosen?

Yeah there is no Va.  Pronunciation over here in Japan so it's becomes a BA sound in the native language.

I'm guessing our friend from Japan is trying to change Bardie to something that's sounds English.  Hence Birdie.

Anyways good to know there is s local supporting us.

Ps we say Football, not sakka lol

  7. It doesn't seem like a hugh hike in prices, I wonder what people on the waiting lists feel?

I had my season ticket when we were Not So Good.  Then had to give it up due to working in Japan.

Back then as the older ones know it was easy to get match tickets.  You didn't need a season ticket.

If my memory serves me right, I could watch reserve games for free.  This was the pull to get the ST.

Anyways, due to success and being in the prem, every T,D and H want to go .

It must frustrate the Leicester loyal supporters, who went when we were Not So Good.

My wish is that whose who regularly attended over the years can get the chance.....

Of course I welcome proper loyal Leicester supporters too who won't turn ship if our success drops .

  8. I'm guessing that nowadays fans are a bit more family orientated, but in my day Forest fans to us Leicester supporters always felt like they were superior to us.  Of course they had history of winning things and they looked down on Leicester as some sort of little neighbour...

Anyways, us Leicester fans were always up for this football match and when we occasionally beat them, it was one hell of a party.
