Ok he wouldn't have been my first choice, but neither was Pearson or Ranieri, so I will reserve judgement till I see what sort of squad he can cobble together to play his style of football. One thing I do know is that after the last two seasons things can't get much worse.

Rudkin will probably get Pissmore, from the women's team to do both jobs for one salary, as he always wants someone at the club to be more hated than him and save money.

The club is in a real mess the senior teams are there for the taking by any bunch of plodders that can be arsed to put a bit of effort in. The DOF needs to accept responsibility and go so we can rebuild from the top and put some backbone into the club. Too many people are here for easy money and don't justify their positions at the club. If the rest of King Power is run as badly as the football side no wonder they are in trouble. My god I do miss Vichai, a man who could make brutal decisions and had no time for sycophants, a proper business man.

It looks to me that the coaches are stealing a living from the club, talk about tactically inept.

If he goes to Arsenal it could be another Nyoni situation where we get nothing for years. We need to sign him on a professional contract, with the promise of first team football, then we can get decent money for him down the line.

Far too many draws cost us this season rather than the points deduction.

I have decided to renew as I am getting on a bit but still able to get to games ok. I also would like to take my grandkids to games, when they are old enough, as my Dad and Grandad did with me and my brother. It's alright for fans to make grand gestures and stop supporting our club for various reasons but being my age I may not be able to go in a few years time anyway. Also my wife and I get our tickets for under £15 a game presently with season tickets so if we just brought tickets on a match to match basis they would cost £25 at this season's prices plus a membership. Some of us have been in it for the long haul and I don't see the purpose of depriving our club of support in the short term as it only makes the financial position worse. We have been here before and I remember getting the winding up papers from the receivers but the club was rescued under new owners and we had the best period in the clubs history afterwards. Here's hoping that history is repeated.

Tops statement is hollow words if the DOF stays in position. For god's sake someone needs to take responsibility for the last two seasons fiasco, both on the pitch and financially. Anyone with any sense of decency would have followed Whelan out of the door. What's the use of trying to rebuild if the reasons for our demise are still in position. Not looking forward to Friday.

I can't be bothered. Got appointment late this afternoon, parking will be impossible tonight and terrible atmosphere after relegation confirmed. Two evening kickoffs in a week is really taking the p**s out of us.

this is what i struggle with, I see a lot of "we use it to meet up with mates/family" there are 101 better things do do on a Saturday to meet up rater than go to KPFC at the moment - i find it a lazy argument
We do a breakfast club every few weeks, meet up have a chat and a catch up and don't feel miserable afterwards!
Saturday afternoons aren't the problem for me. It's the myriad of other kick off days and times that ruin your life.

It wasn't till Ayew came on, and we suddenly had a goal threat, that l realised how pathetic we really are as an an attacking force. Mavadidi, Fatawu and Daka have lost their mojo and clearly need to move on. Riccardo is past it and Thomas has never improved over the last five years despite playing at a lower level. We mix and match the centre halves and they are still a disaster waiting to happen. The midfield options look so so without JJ and the keeper seems to be suffering from PTSD. The last relegation to Division 1 seemed to reinvigorate the club so I can only hope we can clear the decks and give the club the kick start it really needs. Sadly the existing ownership and management may not be up for it, sad times.

If Kasper's injury does end his playing career bring him in next season as our goalkeeping coach it's a no brainier.
He wasn't great at commanding his area or kicking either but a great shot stopper. On yesterdays performance we sold the wrong keeper, no surprise there.

Daka has had a terrible game, so weak. I'm even glad to see Ayew come on.

Only 39,107 present! I thought it was the usual 42,000 in those days. In reality they never turned anyone away in pay at the gate games, couldn't move some games, great times. One of my all time favourite games with the 3-2 against Liverpool after being 2 down, probably a league game.

Following the Watford model Pep Guardiolas relatives are a possibility now.

How can that wet lettuce get sent off!!!

That GK we had on loan from the Geordies a while back never ate dessert because he was Fulop, sorry. A good player died tragically early RIP Marton.

Playing tippy tappy football around our own penalty area with inadequate players is one of the reasons we are in this mess.

I see this rag wants us to pay a fiver a month to read premium articles now including some on City. I wonder who will pay this as they seem to rehash their articles from dodgy internet content anyway?

Andy King with Pearson as DOF.

At last we have a rumour thread for a transfer that's not going to happen this window.

What a terrible game. It's patently obvious that the manager doesn't have a clue. I put the Arsenal game on after Wrexham scored and it was like watching a different sport. It's worrying to think we were actually competing against top teams a few years ago. I know the weather didn't help last night but it seemed like most of our players didn't want to be there. The next managerial appointment is crucial or I forsee a death spiral for our club. Not looking forward to Saturday. Football should lift your soul not turn you into a manic depressive.

I must be a mug but had a really vivid dream we won 0-2. Had a fiver at 14 to 1. Probably more money into the LCFC money pit lol.

The lack of information coming out of the club is truly alarming. Absentee Chairman and no one to front up to the press and let us know what is happening about potential points deductions, transfers and some sort of forward plan for the club. I can only speak for myself but if things don't alter I won't be renewing my tickets next season as this mushroom has about had enough and many around me are voicing the same opinion. Sad times.

Who do we need (Summer 2026)
in Transfer Talk
Posted
We need a proper club captain as no present players up to it. Once on the pitch players need to adapt to opposition tactics as the managers influence is limited. Senior players on the pitch see what is happening around them and can sort junior players out at any level. Last season the captain, Riccardo, had very little on field influence, seeing Hamza pick up the captain's armband filled me with dread. We need strong characters all over the pitch as in the Premier League winning season.
