  1. We certainly not going to get 20 million from Daniel.
  2. Right place for him then.
  3. Brian Alderson?
  4. Still won more than Harry Kane though.
  5. I'd worry if playing for the mighty Belgium took precedence over playing for the club that took me on in the first place elevated my profile and paid me wages way beyond my real worth and I'd been part of the relegation setup. Timmy, you really ain't that good son and will be no loss to us when you get your ungrateful arse out the door.
  6. Call me lazy, but I'd be happy to sit around doing nothing for high wages. Just ask Vesty.
  7. Yes agreed. But I have a feeling he like other players under Rodgers was mismanaged and the result was none of the team played well. They all look bloody awful and nowhere near as good as we knew they could play.
  8. Yes but we are not in the premier league and it's not a given we go straight back up either. I'd rather see what he can do at this level then make a judgement.
  9. So did many others who didn't do what he did.
  10. Wow just wow Thank you so much Kushiro. your footage and images have brought back such wonderful memories of those times in our club's history. In particular, the old filbert street memories which for us old ones we hold deep in our hearts. That barmy spring night at home against Cambridge was as magical as it gets. To go to Wembley again since 1969 was for most of us our first trip there. Although the day ended with a loss with a dodgy penalty to Blackburn ( yeah look where they are now ) we still felt the club was on the up from the doldrums and that momentum was being created within the club. we had a wonderful time in London and on the way down there with all the cars and buses full to the brim and having got there it was amazing to see so many Leicester fans all over the place at all the pubs and "Who are we Blue Army" chanted everywhere. Ditto the next year same horse different Jockey, and another loss. Oh but what a game. When Thompson put in that equalizer against Swindon I thought I would never hear a noise like it again in my city following life ( I was wrong Leo's equalizer against Norwich at the KP topped that ) but yet again a dodgy peno saw us lose. But our path to Wembly had now taken on a yearly pilgrimage. For me, the next visit to Wembley ( the old original one )in 1994 was by far the greatest. A hot spring blue skyed day saw us against the much fancied and much money spent on Derby County. We got down there early for breakfast and bumped into Kevin Keegan who was there to comment on the match. We asked him what he thought and he said" Well I'm not just saying this to you because you are Leicester fans but I have a feeling your team spirit will do it today" God Blessed Kev you were right. a much-expected goal from Derby following a possible fouling of their keeper to their defender ducking his head for the equalizer. Then oh my, that last few minute's winner from the man himself Steve Walsh was sublime. We yes us Leicester City had actually won at Wembley for the first time in our history after our 7th attempt! What a party we had on the bus on the way home and when we drew level with the Derby buses up the M1. Yes I know we went on to win there in the league cup final with a trophy to show at the end of it, but for me to win at Wembley even if it were a playoff final will never be beaten. I would love to hear all your own recollections of those days as we all see things differently on the day.
  11. Well, he was part of the club when we saw wonderful stuff happening and memories of Mon's time here. It was magical times when we got promoted ( playoff memories flooding back ) and we thought these were halcyon days for the club going on to finish tenth and winning the league cup and never dreaming we would go on to win the Prem and the F.A Cup after that. All of which he saw in his lifetime as a fan never mind being a former board member. He like me and all the posters on here was lucky enough to see what my Dad, Grandad, and great Grandad never got to see. when it's my time going over, I go like him with love for my club in my mind. R.I.P John from one fan to another.
  12. ok , but what age was he in 2017 and when did he make his debut? and how has he progressed since then? Answers to those questions may give us a fair analysis.
  13. Did he play for chesterfield?
  14. To be honest I can't understand why anyone would want to pay £10.00 to become a member of a group so small in comparison to the majority of fans and with absolutely no point in its very existence ? If anyone thinks this group or any other fan-based group could possibly have any influence on the way the club operates or appoints its ruling staff then by all means flush your £10.00 down the toilet and cut out the middle man. On that subject what is that £10.00 for and where does it go ?
  15. So he's worse than Vestergaard then?
  16. Good post. I'll try to see the sun shining a bit more.
  17. He and the rest of the supporters not wanting Vestigard would be the correct answer. You as a new manager should not even contemplate having the freebooting no mark anywhere near the team. the fact that he has played him fills me with dismay.
  18. Wow, that's a lot of assumptions there. I assume you are very young ? and not used to adversity and how to live with it? Calm down it's only a commercial.
  19. think you need to have a little faith in the bookies. I don't bet either but I know Liverpool is not going to win the league.
  20. Go down to the bookies and see what price you get for the team that had won the Prem only once then. you're welcome.
  21. You will never know how much I would love to think you are right and I am wrong. You love your city and long may that stay with you because it still does with me. Beach boy salute !
  22. Agreed . He has absolutely no idea of what is required at this level to get us back up. Playing these standards of playing tells me that. Whatever you say about the managers we passed over for the job they knew what it required. He has no experience outside of using anything other than top standard players
  23. Yes, but perspective wise Liverpool are far from being recognized as the potent club they were. They are now recognized as being also-rans. But anyway whatever the past results it has no bearing on how poor we were today. we looked and played just what we are a are second-division fodder, with players to boot. Guess we were lucky in having lived in times when we did it all and we have that to always remember.
  24. That's down to a managerial decision that no other manager has made before. That says it all. We really are in trouble. Our new manager appears to think he can turn silk purses out of sows' ears. Ala Vestigard.
