I'm not being facetious here - do we have any faith that our recruitment system has any real knowledge of League One level players or how to operate in this market?
Seems they have bedn selecting league 1 standard and lower for 90% of the transfers in the last 5 years so we should have nothing to worry about.

We have a history of signing decent CBs late in their career. I'm thinking of Sinclair, Huth, Taggert, Morgan. Even Coady, though that didn't work out great.
So hopefully iLaselles is another. I just hope he doesn't get poisoned by the bad Eggs in the squad.
Eh?
Morgan
Sinclair
And Taggert were all 27 when we signed them.
Hardly late in their careers.

I'd love us to bring in Rydstrom for Malmo, he has a real way of doing things and of building a team but after being interviewed by Brighton I wonder if he wants something bigger
🤣🤣😅 why would he come here ?!

Surely we could do better than that he's not exactly ripping trees up at Lincoln
Anyone who is will not be interested in us.
There lies the issue.

If he’s the best we can do we are well and truly screwed
We will be fishing in a very different pond than we are used to , we have to accept that.
Doubt this would even happen till the summer.
We need someone to drag us to the end of the season.
God only knows who.

Well the first 2 are certainly his fault because that's what he is accountable for? I don't think I have ever seen anybody suggest that anything not to do with recruitment of players and managers (i.e. the footballing side), is his fault?
And ironically, if he had hired this guy, that would further highlight how inept our management structure is since he would be making a decision outside his remit and one that should be taken by the CEO/owner
You are sooooo wrong.
If you think that's all he's ever been blamed for then you have certainly not read this thread or been around this forum for he last 2-3 years.

Well......
Every bad contract we give out its apparently Rudkins fault
Every manager we hire- Rudkin
Run out if toilet rolls at the training ground-Rudkin
When we run out tea bags In the kitchens-Rudkin
Every bad decision made by the ref- Rudkin.
Fax machine goes on the blink-Rudkin
Club shop manager opens up late-Rudkin
Ticket problems-Rudkin
In fact anything and everything that happens at the club is rudkins doing according to many people on foxestalk.
So hiring Nic De Marco...Rudkin.
Or are people not going to put that one at his door ?

I understand this in some respects, but as Ric says, on the surface of things you've got a better chance of breaking in the first team at Liverpool as a youngster than you have here, and that is a disgrace.
We have many products from the grassroots system that have either gone onto making a way into our first team or having good careers in the lower leagues.
More than most clubs I would say.

To be fair, Alves, Braybrooke and Nelson have been hyped for a while and are still here.
We signed Popov, Richards and Grist. They all have good reputations and are still here.
Nyoni and Noubissie both went but just like everyone else we'll still be trying to keep our best youngsters or getting good money for them.
Hopefully Monga stays with us through the age groups. He's already straddling the U18s and U21s so I don't think it's unreasonable to think he could be an U21 regular by the end of the season with an eye on making a first-team squad.
His rise has been meteoric so far so let's hope it continues. If it doesn't, let's hope we give him the time to develop at his own pace.
We can't moan about other bigger clubs taking out players.
We have done the same to smaller clubs academies for years.
When one gets snapped up, we should embrace it and let them go with our blessing and hope they take the opportunity .
It's the circle of life in football.
Whatever pool you swim in, a bigger fish can always cone and snap you up.
The bigger clubs rinse the smaller clubs, and we are no different to anyone else's.

So why is the tackle by Youri from behind, but cleanly winning the ball not also foul then?
The only difference was that it was made in the penalty area and Skipp’s wasn’t.
It wasn't from behind. That's the difference.

People's biggest gripe has gone from ...
Worst ref ever
Gave us nothing
Deffo pen
No foul
Not a yellow
Tackle from behind??So what. He got the ball. Let's forget the fact you simply can't do that. It leaves the ref with no option.
To on reflection when most have watched TV replays....And realised they were so wrong
But people still can't back down and admit the ref was actually ok so come up with...
Ok so...he got the majority of the decisions right but....
He got in the way 3 times. (At least it shows he keeps up with play)
And we'll...for that he is not fit to ref.
Come on people..
Have a word with yourselves.
We will get far worse.
Blaming the ref here Is daft.

the one positive I can find is it's Everton at home in 3 weeks and when we lose comfortably to them it'll get toxic enough to force tops hand

You can groan about his decision making - I thought it was a clear panelty on Vardy and Tielemans knew it from his reaction.
However how many times does a ref get hit by the ball three times? That’s just poor officiating.
Never a penalty in a million years.
Yiu have had an absolute shocker there calling that a pen.

A very busy difficult game to Ref and he got most of the decisions right.
