This is precisely the reason why we’re likely to go into administration and go bust.

Lessons just don’t get learned… how many fatal errors can these clowns keep getting away with?

I completely agree on lessons learned and the capability in the board room concerns me however the constant referring by fans to administration is misguided - if he was to put the club into administration he would be both giving up and writing off £m’s - Top will not do that willingly and he will need a reset financially without jeopardising his ownership which is something he feels passionately about - irrespective of his ability!

I think if Martin gets the job it shows how delusional the club is, our current situation its perfect for an up and coming young manager wanted to prove themselves looking at options with a win rate of below 40% isn't going to help the club at all.

He’s 40 ! How young do you want ? Seriously I would rather have had Fuchs tbh and take your point - I really don’t like the idea of RM but if he wants to be a manager this job is probably his last chance to make it work - it’s got huge success or car crash written all over it !

Yeah they'll still be on big wages, but I imagine the fact they were both free transfers makes the total cost over the contract fairly manageable.

Both quality leaders will help get you back first time and be great squad players when your back up!

Where’s the low ball offer coming from? He’s started in 1 Championship win since November and his attitude stinks. No PL team is going to touch him or, I doubt, any club with promotion aspirations. That just leaves clubs who can’t afford him.

The only chance he goes is if we buy out his contract but his agent isn’t going to entertain that unless he’s got somewhere for him to go as a free agent.

Far more likely to go now - we are and are seen in football as being a mess and he has had enough experience to get a move to a championship or maybe a newly promoted prem side. I know he has stunk the place out with his attitude but he still has enough to get a move - hopeful we will get rid of this leech this preseason !

Weird decision, wouldnt say Bristol City are anymore bigger than Lincoln.

You have had a bit of a nightmare here - Bristol is five times the size and has a massive catchment in the SW - if they ever get their act together they could be a force !

  6. Any chance that Man City get relegated two divisions and we escape a relegation saving us and West Ham ?

the penalties on city are imminent - pep leaving - Enzo in - saves the embarrassment of PG having to resign after City lied to him - Enzo has the youngsters as all the stars go on loan for a year or two whilst City comeback…..maybe it’s my imagination but hammering Southampton maybe a precursor to getting at City…….

    i know it’s a pipe dream

Overrated in what sense? Because he isn't changing games at a club in the bin at the age of 16, getting piecemeal minutes here and there? With Luke Thomas behind him?

He seemingly has the biggest clubs in Europe chasing him, are they all wrong? His potential is clearly huge - only our fans could see massive clubs circling round an academy prospect and not be bothered at the thought of them going or think it's a loss.

He is clearly exceptionally talented on the ball - work rate and physicality etc as you said will come as he is 16!!! It’s a shame that he looks a bit ruined by the environment and must be hard for any 16 year old if you do not have the right role models and discipline around them - he needs confidence but not arrogance and I sense a few of the youngsters have got that.
He may go on to be a superstar but sadly if you were advising him with huge clubs circling he needs an environment to develop - I like you find it baffling fans cannot see that the environment is not developing the youngsters hence judging them is unfair !!

I'll be gutted if we lose him. Needs to be playing in a positive environment and an attacking team.

Really think he will light up League 1.

    I'd give him Fatawu's number 7 shirt.

Based upon what ? I am not being difficult I just do not see it - very few 16 year olds make the transition at such a young age and I know it’s a sh*t show at seagrave but when I have seen him ressies and first team he looks okay but no more plus his work ethic is poor for someone so young……genuinely hope your right and maybe you know more than me?

I don’t get the argument that because he’s an ex player that he knows the club and would be a great appointment.
Have we learnt nothing from the same approach with King - been here 10 years+ as a player and coach and clearly isn’t ready and the same can be said to a lot lesser extent Rowett?
Our most successful managers in recent years have had no previous link to the club - Ranieri, Pearson, O’Neil and Little.
Fuchs wouldn’t even be under consideration if it wasn’t for him being an ex player.

Disagree completely as it’s not comparable - Kingy has limited experience and none as a manager.

Fuchs has been coaching for a few years and has just saved a league 2 side with no resources, changed the culture, team spirit and results.

we are league one and need to be realistic plus there are internal issues - Fuchs is also successful outside football and he is bright, good communicator and knows the club.

i would rather take him over most of the names being mentioned here not just because he is an ex-player but because his characteristics suggest he will go on to be a top manager !

Who would have said that Andrews would step up at Brentford - well he is similarly a bright and excellent communicator - I know the situations and clubs are not comparable but CF is a better bet than most managers being linked or mentioned here imo

  10. We are not attracting a Martin O’Neill or Nigel Pearson sadly and we will be taking a punt no matter who we go for imo.

I would rather have someone who has the brains, knows the environment which includes the challenges and is a winner - I just want someone who we can all get behind and has enough credibility or nouse to manage up the line - if you have met Fuchs you will know he has all of these qualities - inexperienced maybe although done some grounding at Charlotte and Newport.

All I am saying is that most fans would get behind this appointment which based upon the last 4 or 5 would be a positive step!!

Played 31 won 9 drawn 5 Lost 17……a managerial record we are all familiar with….love the bloke but Nah……..

With probably the worst squad in league 2 with the smallest budget - we are in league one so we either get some has been or someone with potential - personally could buy into an ex-Leicester connection but more importantly he is bright and a winner - he will go on to have an exceptional management career if he puts his mind to it. His businesses are a success and he is ambitious - perfect mixture plus as an member of our greatest team he gains instant respect plus he is smart enough to deal with JR and Top plus the fans will get behind him generally ……no brainier for me!!!

KP are in the last chance saloon here. The only thing that saves them is getting rid of Rudkin. Golden handshake, a Rolex and pi$$ off Jon. Bring in a proper football man with connections and a winning mentality to oversee a complete rebuild. Will it happen? Probably not.

I think sadly like an awful lot of fans the reality will hit in the coming days and weeks - this is beyond KP capability or resources and it will become evident very quickly. When the club went into administration many years ago it was due to never having the right base or backing - our club has created huge huge debts with pure incompetence and now it’s probably beyond KP - I fear for the future of OUR club ……..really really sad day but been coming for about 4-5 years - if you take the different key themes that are in the the different topics in here you have the essence of the various issues but they have never been managed and dealt with and sadly KP have to be answerable for all of it!

The difference back then, despite shit like Dennis Wise, Lee Marshall and Junior Lewis, we had more likeable players back then imo, some of which can be classed as Leicester City legends, or some of which who played a good part in the Championship.

This squad, outside of the youth coming through, I dislike pretty much every single one of them. Personally, I think Ricardo has let himself down massively this season, he’s been a solid servant for the club, but he’s proved this season that he ain’t no leader.

I think you’re being very harsh on Riccy - no doubt his legs have gone and he is definitely not good enough to be first choice. In terms of leadership I think the issues run really deep  inside that dressing room with egos and toxicity beyond his capability to fix.

when it all comes out I think none of us will be shocked but appalled that it got to this and it started under Rodgers with him imo and his big ego and over inflated opinions which was passed onto some bang average players but now exists in really poor ones and some youngsters too !!

        Evans.         Page.              Monga

                        Hutchinson

part of me would snap your hand off for that starting 11 in league 1 next year, as would mean we haven’t wasted money on absolute garbage again.

Do think it’s likely Vesty and Nelson leave after relegation though

And go down again with that team

Won’t happen but this is what I would do -

    Stolarcyrk

    Okoli

    Lascelles

    Nelson

    Aluko

    Skipp

    James

    Thomas

    Mukasa

    Fatawu

    Daka

What I actually think he will pick

    Begovic (if fit)

    Ricardo

    okoli

    Lascelles

    Thomas

    Winks

    JJ

    Fatawu

    Reid

    Mavididi

    Daka

He cannot pick Okoli and Nelson the need a rest and if Vesty and Lascelles are fit enough they should start with Skipp in front to break the game up - if Begovic is fit he has to come in too.

we need a backbone or spine that can show leadership - it’s the only way we have any chance of surviving.

Watching him play for Leeds and looking competent, interested, actually quite decent, and being rated by their fans tells you all you need to know about the culture of our club at the moment. A really decent lower Prem level player who was on cruise control here stinking the place out.

Good business getting what we did for him with 12 months left on his contract but really highlights the wider issues in our club that he is doing well at a much higher level.

Sadly it was not JJ it’s something about the environment that’s been allowed to fester - JJ was and is a really good pro and like lots of players we have had suddenly look decent when they exit!!

we need a complete reset and at least this summer lots of players leave but behind the scenes is as worrying with a complete inept leadership team

  17. Feel for the lad tbh as being thrust into this pile of crap is unfair on any youngster - all of the youngsters are struggling and it’s because the base of the team is so weak - normally blooding youngsters into a team with a strong spine and leadership is less risky but these lads are being asked to jobs that there not ready for. Is he good enough I am not so sure but to be a centre half so young when he has not physically matured is tough. For me I would rest him , dump Okoli completely who is a car crash and build the spine with Vesty and Lascelles !

  18. We need to be realistic and if he manages to keep this shower up he deserves a medal. He walked into a proper mess and be it goal difference or points if he keeps this team up he deserves serious consideration - he knows the club, brought a coach who similarly knows the club and has already simplified with a basic structure with work ethic. We have not had that for the past 4 managers and he will want this job not for money but for what he could achieve as he knows the potential. He will have worked out by the season end what is needed to get us competitive next season and be able to implement it quickly - for me already I would rather have GR than any of the previous 4 managers we had.

Interesting. Very much chalk and cheese.

You would think they would make a great pairing with one playing the ball the other attacking the defensive side of the game but keeping it simple ………….
