Europa league to league one… no chance
I can believe Rudkin is deluded enough to try though

Please don't win
If we win, Rudkin & Top will give Rowett a new contract
Followed by new contracts for all players playing and then give out bonusesThen promote Rudkin again

I think I agree with you, but I'm not sure. Are you saying you could give backing to the idea of a phoenix club, or it just wouldn't be Leicester City and have the history that you associate with the club, and therefore it's a non-starter for you, i.e. rather support no-one than FC Leicester Rovers?
I'm saying I could not support a phoenix club because the passion was imprinted as a child to Leicester, so I would effectively end up supporting no one
But I have moved away, so it may be different to people still living in Leicester where the phoenix club is at least still there local club

Could do with a loud speaker outside the ground playing a recording listing all of the failures under Aiyawatt & Rudkin on a loop.
The game is only 90 minutes - I doubt you could list them once in that time never mind on loop!

I really can't decide who I want to play
The usual sh*t and make the place as toxic as hell for them
Or a squad that includes no one not here next season - except Jordan James who deserves a see off.
I'm slight inclined to go for the latter, but even that will still include far too many players who have shown nothing but disdain for the club

I think the only answer is Top plows money into the club, creating revenue…
My understanding is he can do this, but our wage bill needs to be absolutely slashed. Essentially our situation resolved this was because of the unique financial rules of L1 it’s there to be exploited. As Birmingham and Wrexham did.
But, can he afford to do this?
Did they not change the rules to prevent owners doing this?
We were one of the clubs previously who had our owners sponser us as severely inflated prices and now owners can only sponsor clubs at Market Value which is why we started using unethical betting companies instead to exaggerate interest and increase the sponsorship allowed
Owners can invest in the club to avoid administration, but that does not count towards any FFP rules

Not really, I get the concept, I personally just don’t think I’d associate with it. I know it’s about adopting something people perceive as being theirs and history around it, rather than adopting something new. Everyone with look at this differently.
Phoenix clubs largely don’t get the history transferred etc, so no cups, no league, no memories etc. AFC Wimbledon and Wimbledon FC have been going at this for years.
Maybe it’s because I’ve become desensitised to a large part from football itself, as it’s not the game it once was.
Foxestalk I’d say if not a good demographic of the average fan base of the football club. Leicester go pop tomorrow and a Phoenix club for Leicester, I think would struggle to get off the ground and be stuck in the lower echelons of football. It’s the same reason many other Phoenix clubs fail.
I agree with you.
As a Leicester Fan that moved away, I support the club from where I was brought up.
I support the team that were the first team I supportedI heard my first swear words in the Kop at Filbert Street
I queued up around filbert street for Wembley
I witnessed my parents and school fall out over me having the afternoon off to travel to Old Trafford to watch us get thrashed in the cup and still loved every minute of it
A new club would just be a new club, if I was going to adopt a new club I could just move my support to a local team, but my History is with Leicester City regardless of the turmoil we are currently in and unfortunately it always will be
I also feel that the players don't have the passion they use to which is why we are being desensitised to football, even Rowett said relegation hits the fans harder than the players - I just don't think many modern footballers have the fight in them-

Wednesday wasn’t for a good two to three years until it actually started to affect the playing squad
True I suppose I forgot as you don't really see it as an outsider
It is surprising how many people outside of Leicester City do not realise how divided our fan base currently is

The last few weeks and certainly the last few days over social media has clearly demonstrated the clear divide amongst the fanbase between the 'back the lads/true supporter' section and the 'Completely unacceptable, deserve every thing they get' section. Last night's full time footage was as concerning (to me) as anything on the pitch - a clear mix of anger, upset, rage against a significant bunch of people clapping, looking mildly disappointed and a shrug of shoulders.
How do we even begin to bring the fanbase back together in the situation we're in? It's not like Blackburn or Sheff Weds where there's a unanimous view on the Venkys and Chansiri, and there's a concerted and agreed view on how to engage the club and make change.
How do we go about doing that, cos at the moment I can't see a way forward.
There is no way this fan base is uniting!
This is where our situation is worse than any club I've ever seen because it is fans v fans
Every other club it has been fans v club
Realistically the fans won't unite until the club is run properly again - the number protesting the owners will continue to grow, but the stubborness of those that support him look unbreakable
If Top doesn't leave he has to make changes to the running of the club
Not lie about board changes and then promote those responsible for the failure

Defensively they’re really not. The worst defence on pretty much every metric apart from Sheff Weds’ defence.
Under Enzo they were more protected by N’Didi and KDH with Hermansen behind them to organise.
They were the worst defence this season by every Metric
But my belief is this is not caused by ability - it is attitude!
Which is why so many fans are so bitter about the players.

I genuinely don’t hate Thomas as much as the rest of the *****. He’s limited but he try’s in his own limited way. I’m more bothered by the strollers, I hate the strollers.
Exactly, Luke Thomas is just a poor player - we have had poor players before.
If you give effort then I can support that, even if he as lightweight as a feather and falls over as Wingers run past him

It’s so funny how I looked at that defence at the start of the season as being more than good enough
They are. So are the rest of the players - if only they actually tried

Losing to Forest under 23s in the Vertu trophy!

It's not a performance I'd expect from a team fighting for survival.
They know that it is a must win to stand even the slightest glimmer of hope of staying up.
Fighting - we've shown no fight in years

Lazy Team who don’t give a ****!
9th minute and Fatawu breaks into Hulls half – who is breaking their neck to support – NOONE, they are scrolling up as if they were wondering around a train station wasting time because their train is delayed
14th minute – Hull break and their players rush forward as again we scroll back uninterested
Their Goal is a lazy pass by Begovic and Lascalles doesn’t even both to prevent the shot
Then the rest of the first Half was just a team that don’t care – Hull were the only team playing!
We woke up for a little bit, but realistically if you had to say was it closer to a 2-0 or a 1-1 half -you would say 2-0-

Win tonight. Wrexham win. Then onto the blades not to lose tomorrow. Then millwall knowing 2 wins will keep us up, beat them and a nervy week long wait until rovers away, and get a 2-1 win, away fans and players embracing in the crowd!
Fans and players … erm… that’s not embracing, they’re rioting

Yes agree with everything said here. Also Maresca suddenly leaving when we all thought he would lead us into the Prem. Panic set in and things have just got worse since
Agreed - we have no had a succession plan for years - the managers we bring in are all completely different making it impossible to build a culture at the club too and shows they don't have a club
Signing Rowett - a manager who always goes with experience when the club was so disillusioned with our experienced places just showed the complete inability to read the situation too

If Top actually sacked Rudkin would it make any difference to some people’s thoughts or has it gone too far ?
He would have to sack himself too and the rest of the **** he promoted earlier in the year!
If he wants to own the club - then I don't actually have an issue with that - BUT ONLY IF HE HAS NO SAY IN HOW THE CLUB IS RUN and delegates to a capable board (i.e not Rudkin or any of our current board)
-
The club has been run into the ground ever since Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha died.
For a few years the legacy he put into place lasted and brought us a few good league places and the FA cup, but as time moved on and decisions made my Nepo Baby and Rudkin has impacted the club then the rot started.
Under Top - the recruitment dried up and instead of selling players, and reinvesting evolving the squad - he hired 2 very poor recruitment guys and changed the policy to overspend on keeping players on inflated wages - trying to keep hold of what we had instead of evolving. These players (and certain manager) then had no competition and no motivation and became complacent. The business plan made no sense and we just spent and spent on wages with no sign of recuperating the money
