The Academy is very good in certain aspects but totally piss poor in others which includes goalkeeper coaching 

20 years and not one decent keeper has come through the Academy system. The best one in recent times is Teddy Sharman Lowe who the goalkeeping experts at the time  ( one now unbelievably with the first team ) decided wasn’t good enough so we released him. He is at Chelsea and played for pretty much every England youth age group.
