The title of this thread doesn't even come close to describing the perpetrators of this crime.
I hope that they receive proper justice during what will be their very long time behind bars.

Laughing stocks of the entire footballing world right now. Embarrassing, humiliating and pathetic.
And Coventry scoring 5 tonight and heading upwards, it's like salt being rubbed into the wound.

In 1914/15, Leicester Fosse ended 2nd from bottom of England's leagues. Right now, the club is 50th from the bottom.
In 1939/40, Leicester City gained only 4 points.
The phrase 'worst season in our history' can be interpreted in lots of different ways!

Don't fret about the non-penalty. Even if one had been awarded, we'd have missed it.

something very funny about "no club has ever been relegated from this league with that many points, except this one that did". Took several reads to realise you meant finishing on exactly 53 points, even though going over is always treated as reaching.
I should have included the word 'exactly' between the words 'with' and 'that'. Apologies for any misunderstanding.
(Next time I get caught speeding, I'll tell the judge that going over 30mph is the same as reaching it.)

One more win, two draws and one defeat in the four remaining games would result us getting to 46 points. That would then exactly match the overall W/D/L outcome of the 2007/08 relegation season, when we ended with 6 more points and had a GD of only -3, compared with the current one of -10.

I actually think 4 wins wouldn't be enough, we are down already.
Four wins would take us to 53 points. No EFL club has ever gone down with that many, although Peterborough United were relegated in 2012/13 with 54 points. We ourselves went down with 52 points in 2007/08, although that's the one total (less than 54) that we definitely can't achieve this season.

Being in a league where there's a 1 in 6 chance of relegation but only a 1 in 8 chance of promotion.

Strictly speaking, it's Leicester City FC 1919-2026.

Two Leicester City players being jointly 'credited' with one own goal seems pretty strange. Froggatt and Milburn managed it in a 3-1 defeat away to Chelsea in December 1954.

I feel that the word 'tangential' should appear somewhere in this discussion, so here it is!

If a rifle were strapped to the outside of the space capsule travelling at 25,000mph towards (and half-way) to the Moon, and was fired (with a muzzle velocity of 2,500mph) straight backwards in the direction of Earth, where would the bullet finally end up?

Has anyone got one of those Titan Car Locks? I bought one 2 months ago, because I liked the idea of it using the seat-belt socket as its anchor point. However, the device proved to be very fiddly to fit - the steel cable is looped through the steering and then locked into the socket. Also, the shortness of the cable meant that the steering wheel position had to be lowered and the seat brought forward for it to reach. But the worst problem with it occurred recently when I tried to unlock the device, but it wouldn't cooperate. Fortunately I was at home and so had the tools at hand to basically destroy the lock in situ. It took ages to cut through the plastic housing to expose the lock, but the seat-belt socket was eventually freed. This felt like problem that was always likely to happen and it would have been much worse had I not been at home at the time. If anyone is thinking of buying one - don't!

First Opera tonight and loved it
Nevill Holt, just up the road from Medbourne, does at least one every summer. The standard is excellent, parking's a doddle (a nearby field), but it is very expensive. The interval is usually 90 minutes long, so most folk picnic in the grounds. I guess it's Leicestershire's answer to Glyndebourne or Garsington.

LCFC will almost certainly be playing Championship football next season!
Lincoln City, that is.
-
Oxford United beating West Brom could also be very significant.

Except that we've been a league club for nearly a century longer (and we don't have a pier).

Peter Taylor - was he really that bad? In his first season we ended 13th in the Prem and got to R6 of the FA Cup. It all fell apart for him after losing that FA Cup match at home to Wycombe Wanderers. His overall win %age was fairly respectable at about 35. That's better than that of David Pleat, Mark McGhee, Craig Levein, Rob Kelly, Ian Holloway, Paulo Sousa, Claude Puel, Steve Cooper, RvN, and level with Marti Cifuentes. I know that using win %ages isn't necessarily the best metric to use, but if it were, Enzo Maresca would be way ahead of everyone else, including Claudio Ranieri and Brendan Rodgers, arguably our best two ever, based on the silverware they won.

Some Lincoln City fans are terrified that we're going to poach Michael Skubala.

Maybe a 12-point deduction would have been better. At least it would have killed off any lingering hopes of Championship survival completely.

We are likely to be six points above the bottom three by 10pm tomorrow.
What a difference a decade makes - exactly 10 years ago today, JV scored that amazing goal against Liverpool, and that win was followed 4 days later by another victory, away at Manchester City, as we marched on towards the PL title.
-
What next? A 12-point deduction? That would leave City on 26 points in 23rd place , a point below Oxford United.

If America were to acquire Greenland and make the 51st state, they'd have to redesign the stars and stripes. Well no, just the stars.

Blues fans may be interested to know that today is Blue Monday. The third Monday in January is 'officially' the most depressing day of the year, and I wouldn't disagree with that!

When Boris then later on in 2022 Liz resigned, Sir Keir called for immediate general elections. So what's the difference now? Oh yes, Labour are in power.
