  1. I totally agree Didn’t want to put down the idea of voicing opinions on the negligence of the club, just wanted to try and explain my clip and tweet a bit further on here to give more context etc in terms of why this specific protest was problematic for me If the club does not make BIG changes in the summer in terms of hierarchy, recruitment, player power and everything in between then I think they’re going to have a half full stadium for a chunk of the season I I think we can all agree we want what is best for the club and if that requires KP to sell then it is what it is. Apologies for any misconstrued points that could’ve been explained better on Twitter and here but I enjoy talking to people about these topics
  2. I’m not sure if I’d say I’m overlooking them and the reason why is that I just don’t think they care about things being ‘embarrassing’ otherwise things would’ve changed a while ago imo I fully agree there should be more transparency and that’s one of the biggest things that causes the fan disconnect if after than internal review we’d had a full rundown of what went wrong and why and then those things were publicly explained and changes were made because of it then the fanbase would’ve been way more understanding but like someone else said earlier they seemed to brush it under the carpet which is ridiculous Again though I don’t mind people voicing their problems, more so the manner in which it was done I think was wrong
  3. I agree with this whole heartedly and have talked about most of these points multiple times over the years which is why I think fans voicing these problems is fully justified. We’re in a downwards spiral and I think your final point could be the issue. If the fan advisory boards don’t contain an array of fans along the spectrum of protestors to happy clappers then it isn’t fair on the entire fanbase
  4. I think that if Top or whoever else is in charge doesn’t already know that there are problems that have been happening for years then there genuinely wouldn’t be a level of ‘awareness’ that can be reached that will open eyes to it. I think the majority of people would love for Top to turn it around but if it means he has to go then that’s the answer. I’ve said a few times my methods that I think ‘should’ get through to them. Boycotting games, taking money out of their pockets. Chants etc and banners in seats they will see. Fan boards etc should also be the main avenue of discussion between fans and club. If these things aren’t working then I don’t know if anything will. It’s not as if they don’t know that many fans are incredibly unhappy. There’s a world where we get new owners and they’re unreal but equal chance of them being terrible venture capitalists that use it as a money maker solely. It’s a huge call to make and so that’s why the dream scenario is that KP can turn it around but the signs aren’t showing that to be likely…
  5. I agree. I don’t say that my opinion is more valid than anyone else’s. You can call the club out and that’s fine. I keep making this point. My problem with the form of protests is not that they are happening in general, it’s that it’s unfair on the fans that don’t want to protest when you have things like plane banners flying around the ground and tarring the entire fanbase. if you want to make 1000 posts on here or Twitter or whatever then that’s very different. I hope this makes sense as I think it’s the main point I’ve been trying to make but people aren’t taking it that way
  6. I personally wouldn’t say it’s soft to face up to the people slating you and trying to have proper conversations to find agreeable points and common terms. I haven’t said that fans shouldn’t have a voice. I’ve said that I disagree with the idea of the plane banners, the van and personal insults etc. Having in stadium protests where you chant or leave on a certain minute etc are fine. My problem is when it gets personal or looks like it’s trying to represent more of the fanbase than the people that actually organised it. Not sure how my job has got anything to do with the conversation either tbh. I’ve explained in more detail on here in the comments above my thoughts on them sorting it out etc. I feel like people are picking up on one point or two instead of the full conversation. Maybe trying to clarify on here hasn’t helped anything. I also only had like 3 seconds left of time for the clip in the way it ended. If when I do my fully fledged relegation conversation that will be half hour + you disagree with every point then fair enough.
  7. Exactly, I said it was embarrassing on my own personal single person social media platforms as that’s my view I didn’t get another plane to fly afterwards saying ‘That was embarrassing’ without attaching my name to it? I’m not attempting to speak on behalf of the fanbase by voicing my opinion on a page that is about me? Lots may disagree with my opinion as they clearly do but as I’ve said there are many things that after discussing we would agree on. I just personally think that this was the wrong way to go about things.
  8. This is a fair response. This is why I felt the need to come and clarify. When conversations happen there are many things we’ll align on but they don’t happen when people react to a short clip. the private meetings etc should be the solution as should the people at the top being competent at their jobs enough to figure out who’s at fault for things and fix them. If neither of those are successful then I honestly don’t think there is hope at all. I don’t think fans being upset will affect them if they can’t even see it from a business perspective when that’s their job. It’s insane we’ve gone from the ‘best owners in the world’ in the general footballing world opinion to this shambles. The ruthlessness of Vichai cannot be understated enough
  9. He should be gone. Yes it’s as simple as that. I don’t think that fans calling him names will make Top get rid of him. I agree with the other comment a few up from this that they’re in too deep together and therein is the problem. Is the solution that someone else from within KP takes over that doesn’t have the personal ties? Or are they forced to sell if Top doesn’t cut these underperforming employees off? I don’t know
  10. As I said I don’t like protests that personalise things or appear to try to speak for the fanbase in general. Calling Rudkin names and picturing him as a clown on a van to me is silly. Pointing out his failures in terms of mistakes and the job he’s done sure that’s completely fair and understandable. Like the investigation in to the relegation where he would’ve been responsible for a load of what happened. I think speaking with actions like a whole block of people not going to a game and costing the club money etc would be more effective.
  11. Hey there Thought I’d respond on here as well as trying to reply to everyone on Twitter I’ll ignore the personal insults based on my job etc My main points from my post, video and replies - There are major problems at the club and have been for years, I’ve called these out countless times and questioned the hierarchy in many a video/post - I am not a ‘happy clapper’ that sticks around and applauds pathetic performances off the pitch regardless of the situation. I think those people are also problematic - I think a lot of people are trying to have their cake and eat it too. If the owners/top don’t care about the club at all (as is being claimed) then imo they wouldn’t care at all about fan protests or frustration. They’d happily keep things going as they are until a big bidder comes in and they cash out of their fun play thing. - Many fans that are blaming the board for everything also boo half the players instead of supporting them when possible (I know it’s been hard this season) - I’ve been going for 25 years, this club is a major part of my life. Just because I don’t partake in plane protests it doesn’t mean I don’t care nor does it mean I happy clap. - My main frustration with the plane banner and the van protests are that it feels they are trying to speak for the whole fanbase which isn’t fair. When it’s getting personal with individuals as well instead of just talking about their job success/failure I think that’s too far. I understand people chanting etc as you’re entitled to do that and it’s clear that it’s specifically your view, not trying to speak for others. I know a lot of people are incredibly angry at how the club is run and therefore will lash out at someone like myself when I don’t shout in the exact same way as others. I hate what the running of the club has been like in recent years and can only hope that they see reason to make big changes this summer. Apologies for anyone offended, it was only 90 seconds of video time whereas when I do my relegation video I can articulate each point clearer
