Anyway luckily I’m all sorted and the person I got the ticket for managed to get their own ticket. -

The reason the away goal rule was brought I believe was the away team in the first leg would invariably use negative tactics. You can quite easily see this happening without the away goal rule, so it will lead to lots of boring 1st legs.
