They showed the section on Sky last night towards the end and it looked lively. Can’t remember what minutes it would’ve been though.
I think between 80-85 we were singing we love you.. then the red card happened and all of a sudden everyone piled on, the volume went up 10 fold.. that for me was a glimpse of what it could be..
-
On a whole rather quiet tonight apart from the ufs lads who really do try to get it going.. I’ve said before that it’s usually quiet after row U for majority of the games but there is a couple of lads maybe w x or y who do well to get a few more joining in around that area so fair play to them..
Slightly embarrassing though that the loudest chant in the first half aimed at the referee.
Sending off helped the atmosphere for the last 10 mins. Even when looking down, the east stand were clearly singing along and actually looked like they were enjoying themselves for a few mins.. People have it in them. When it goes well it actually sounds decent..9 hours ago, OntarioFox said:(my post took two hours to approve so i'm going to be naughty and bump this again) - for those daft enough to attend, how was it? Not seen it that empty for a league game since... well, Boro in the Championship. And that was in a blizzard.

Won’t look a very good spectacle before kick off with large gaps in the display

Without wanting to sound too dismissive, if we as a fan base can’t use our voices first and foremost then what chance are you going to have in a boycott. Fair play to the players in walking over to face the criticism of the section as I didn’t think they would. But seeing g2 stand on the stairwell and many were clapping then it will fall on deaf ears. I understand people can do what they want but to applaud that takes the utter PISS!!!!!

Has everyone got their singing voices ready in the section/G1 today?

Our fans can’t be arsed to do more than 8 words.
The sheer difference between people who want to be there and people that don’t..

I am extremely concerned now that we could be in a relegation fight, our form certainly suggests so. Marty is not the man but who the **** do we get?
That’s the trouble with the tunnel vision fanbase..
They see the issue with no back up plan. Sack marti with no answer as to what/who next?
Yet they don’t realise that whoever comes in will have exactly the same headache unfortunately..

Im not Marti out (just yet) but if they don’t pick up 4 points from Blackburn and Middlesbrough then I ain’t sure how much longer I can keep sticking up for him as a coach..

Not to mention getting searched on the way in (East Stand near the kop)
Security all around the pitch on 85 minutes for no reason
And traffic bollards outside GoKidsGo delaying everyone on the way back to Aylestone Lane/Saffron Road for no reason!
Just little things that wind fans up, but they don’t care
Why would your reasons mentioned affect the atmosphere?

All this Danny Rohl, Rohl of the dice.. what could possibly make people believe he would do a job? Is this what football has become, sack a manager if in the first few games they don’t get maximum points..
Sorry but I think people are clutching at straws

I don't really know what people are expecting?
Its been like this for so long, it's not going to change.
The fans simply don't want it to change. It’s almost as if all the singers of the upper part of the section need to move down towards the front.. literally there was rows on v and w barely used.. why don’t people use their heads and move down slightly if they want to join in because honestly that middle part of the section is utterly pathetic..
-
As someone who I speak to last night said, Derby will be the fixture in December at home.. school holidays, local game, evening kick off. If the crowd can’t be up for that one then there simply won’t be any hope..

Surprised with the praise for Pompey's fans, apart from a few 'football in a library' style chants early on they went quiet until the equaliser went in.
Got to agree with you Patrick, I stand just behind the lads at the front, maybe the drum drowns out pompey noise but I hardly heard them all night apart from mid way through the second half.

Excellent support from Pompey. They are good at their place too.
You in L1 again tonight?

At this stage, I'd be tempted to give Mavididi a go as centre forward.
Hes got lead in his boots on the left currently, he’s drained of any confidence he had two years ago so what makes you think centre forward would suit?
Patson just ain’t it, Ayew ain’t good enough in that role so technically Carranza is the best of a bad bunch at the moment

I can hear the section fairly well, thought tonight was the worst it’s been all season.
Seriously? Apart from the Birmingham game which I missed, which one was better than tonight?
-
Really surprised by the comments.. I actually weirdly thought in the section front half we done ok tonight. One of the better ones of the season. We can’t hear any other parts of the ground anyways even on a good day.. but well done ufs who once again keep going..
-
I wonder how many people will be donning the new kit with new sponsor on the front today.. if you really feel the need to rush out and buy one of these then a long look in the mirror is needed

I really don't get how resale works this season. This was looking ok in terms of sales, not sold out but mostly full, then looking again yesterday there's seemingly thousands.
What's the criteria for resale opening?
They put all tickets that have been listed for resale a week prior to the fixture so these would have been released Monday.. being an 7.45 kick off on a Saturday would put many people off

Pointless members getting 1 point per game when season tickets get 50 per season with no need to attend any aways, may as well do away with single points for attending imo
In my opinion I really don’t think membership points means anything more than getting priority to home games.. majority of the time aways sell out before all members anyways so the club really don’t care whether members complain about away game points or not if that makes sense..
not that I believe it’s still right or fair I must add..

Probably wouldn’t want to complicate it but every time I think of it/hear it I can’t help but think its missing a chunk..
