I think there is a time limit on claims which means we wouldn’t be able to bring any claim against Man City or Chelsea
burnley brought their claim against Everton promptly
The Man City case hasn't been resolved yet, so we're not too late. We would need to be prompt once a decision has been made on Man City.
I don't agree with any of this but the door is now open and we're desperate.

I believe we should support the team on the pitch in the stadium, but we are totally entitled to show our disgust at the way the club is run and demand that Rudkin is sacked and Top sells the club.
Top doesn't listen to fans, I don't believe he even understands the amount of ill feeling towards him or Rudkin, they never communicate, acknowledge mistakes or learn from them. The fans are entitled to this opinion.
Whilst I believe we should support the team in the stadium, last season was a disgrace, it's been very hard to support this team when the players and management were so poor and clearly not fit, lacking in leadership at any level,so the hatred is understandable. The players needed to win the fans over but they never showed any attempt to do this.
We appointed RM a huge mistake IMO, he has to recruit some very good players, and be top of league 1 immediately, but if he performs like he did at Rangers then the levels of toxicity will be through the roof and totally justified IMO.
-
It's his last chance in football, has to make it success if he wants a career in football after Leicester
-
We should be positive about Leicester we're only 1 of 7 clubs who have won the PL, FA Cup, League cup and the community shield. We're a fallen giant of the English game😂
-
Not my choice, but regardless of the manegerial appointment, It's all about player recruitment in league 1.
We'll basically need 15 new 1st team players that want to play for the shirt and are prepared to fight.
At least we've appointed someone with plenty of time, so no excuses.
This is last chance saloon for RM so if he wants a career after Leicester then he has to get us back to the PL in 2 years.
-
I hope this isn't true, Top is so out of touch with the fans and an arrogant ****.
The fans aren't going to get behind Martin, it could all turn toxic very quickly unless we're unbeaten top of the league in August.

This will be embarrassing if we haven't got a manager in the next week or so. There is so much work to and they've had time to sort it. Even Stockport are more efficient than us.
We've got players to move on, a squad to assemble, preseason to plan for, preseason games to arrange. Other teams are starting to do this, but not us.
This is a big summer, probably the biggest in recent history that we can't get wrong and it feels like we're dilly-dallying around with someone who doesn't want it....again Or they're on their holidays and not really taking it seriously at all.
I hope to see a manager in place soon and players starting to move on and being linked with replacements. It has to be a busy summer to change our fortunes, at he moment it screams incompetence...AGAIN
Yep they've learned nothing, just a repeat of last year and we know how that ended.

Don't think it's quite as simple as that though - given the transition occurred under Puel (great signings) and Rodgers (our best ever football for first 18 months or so?)
The club is the pits though, for sure.
Most modern managers play possession based football now.
Challinor trys to dominate possession 57% + with aggressive pressing to win the ball back in the attacking 3rd.
His main difference with Martin is he's not obsessed with the endless passing around defence trying to create positional overlaps in the final 3rd that never transpire because the build up play is so slow.
He's more flexible than Martin, also sees the importance of set pieces, even a 5 year year old could see that Challinor is superior in every aspect to Martin apart from his choice in Women.

Yep ****ing clueless, just get the best man for the job to win promotion from league 1 at the first attempt.
- Martin has a win percentage of 38%, 1 promotion in 5 seasons.
- Hake 36% 0 promotion in 10 seasons, and most people have probably never even heard of him, I hadn't.
-Challinor 50%, 7 promotions in 15years and lowest ever finish is 5th
Only Top would think of employing the first 2.

Have you ever seen succession, if you haven’t I suggest you watch it. Not only
is it fantastic, you will realise that Top, like the characters in that are just wired different. They don’t have this self awareness normal people possess.
It’s almost not their fault. 🤣
😂 I'll have to watch it, but in the meantime someone needs to pull his wires out completely.

Why can't Top just go and get Challinor, he wasting so much time as usual, when will the man realise he's out of his depth.

If, big if, it was Challinor, would there be a bit of revisionism on here with regards to comments made about Top and Rudkin within this thread?
Why? They've taken us to league 1 oblivion, absolutely clueless.
No revisionism will ever be required with these 2 clowns.

It’s weird how often this gets misunderstood. There’s nothing wrong with trying to keep the ball—most successful teams do it, including in League One. However, there is clearly something wrong with playing an ultra high-risk form of possession football that demands elite level technical ability from Championship or League One players—and refusing to compromise even when your team is getting stuffed every week.
Yes a quick check with AI and the only teams playing long ball 442 are Wycombe, Burton, Rotherham, Northampton, Port Vale(352) and Wimbledon.
Only 1 team finished in the top half, 11th the others were bottom half with 3 of them relegated.
Most teams play 433, 4231 or 343, 6 with a slow build up, 3 who got promoted and the other 12 mix it up with a certain directness in getting the ball forward quickly but still try to play decent football.

Like Cooper?
How many players league 1 standard can play his football well enough to be effective? How many championship players can play it well? Not many. This is the reason this doesn't make any sense. His stats aren't great over a number of years.
Thisan would be a disaster and his football won't work in league 1. We need to be direct robust and that everything Martins 'tactics' are not.
Another short sightedness from board. I hoped with McCarron we would have a wider net to look at potential managers, but if we end up with the usual suspects, nothing has/will change, not a single lesson has been learnt from the last 4/5 years.
Please let it be bull bottom, because that is what it'll be be
How many teams actually play robust 442 in league 1, I'm not sure it that's many, Cardiff, Bolton or Bradford off the top of my head certainly didn't.
The problem with Martin is he's a terrible people manager, his tactics are inflexible and he refuses to admit he's wrong.
I personally don't see a problem trying to appoint a manager who wants to play decent football, just not Martin

I just don't get why anyone would want this self serving ****, always punching above his weight, Lucy Pinder, Rangers, Southampton and now being linked with Watford, Blackburn and us.
The latter clubs owners should all fail the fit and proper owners test if they're considering hiring Brussel, basket case clubs the lot of them.

Nope... It was just boring mate.
Also 56 passes in our own half, gradually making it to their 18 Yard box to turn around l pass back and start build up play again is hardly attacking football.
I hate Rodgers with a burning passion, but his brand of sabotage... Sorry, sorry football was more attacking and he to had a tendency to like his teams to pi$$ around with it at the back.
Maybe the tactical genius 😂 realized how shit our defence was and the only way to not concede so many goals was to keep ball and bore the fcuk out of the opposition.

Very very few rules have sanctions attached to then .
Let’s just look at this Southampton case. Will there be evidence to prove on the balance of probability? That’s the first hurdle even before their is talk of a sanction.
Will they be other examples that are in earthed during the process ?
Will Southampton admit it or deny and then are subsequently the charge is proven ? Would there be any possibility of mitigation ?
Most disciplinary matters and indeed criminal cases will see a % of any sanction reduced but when it comes to an offence where the sentence or sanction is fixed in law ( murder for instance ) why would anyone or any entity ever admit guilt ?
The rules should have sanctions, then they wouldn't need to waste so much time resolving matters of PSR or this for example.
Middlesbrough wouldn't have the opportunity to demand that Southampton are kicked out if the punishment was clear.
It ridiculous that Southampton fans are buying tickets not knowing if the match will go ahead, Middlesbrough are still training, the game could be postponed etc.... It's not fair on Hull either, not knowing who they'll play.
It's hardly a major offense, when you consider teams scout the opposition during games.
This is farcical, if the punishment was clear the game would go ahead and it could be dealt with over the summer when the media circus has died down.
The football authorities aren't fit to govern.

The EFL did introduce a rule following the Leeds case. It’s under that new rule that’s Southampton have ben charged.
The SCMP rules particularly in EFL 1&2 were/ have been introduced following representations of the clubs.
Yes, apparently they introduced a rule but not a sanction to go with it. That's why their is so much speculation about the punishment.
-
I don't agree with any kind of financial rules applied to football, especially limits on owner investment because it just prevents the growth of clubs.
With the current ongoing farce of spygate and the fact they never put any sanction in place after Leeds, the EFL would be better placed sorting out the existing rules.

Quite a few were saying the same as this before the start of last season, and how wrong they were.
My view is that we will not walk this league at all.
Although I do realise you have the word could in inverted commas BTW.
I don't think anyone realized how divided and low on confidence the squad was after RVN stint as a manger.

I agree with this and think Challinor would suit us.
Out of interest, in terms of first teamers that will be left, who do you worry wouldn’t respect him?? I can only see a handful of the senior pros being left here as most will look to force a move
Definitely Winks, Vesty, Okoli, Kristiansen and maybe BDR. They're all under contract but these have to all leave the club.
Also Challinor has never finished below 8th in 15 years which is quite an achievement at any level.

Please no more BTEC, Pepball coaches please.
I still can't look past David Challinor. Incredible record and the right guy for the lower league.
Even if Stockport get promoted. I think he would jump. I believe, he has one year left on his contract.
Let the manager manage. Top, should let the new director do his thing. Rudkin, just needs to make sure we have enough paper, in the fax macine.
We would need to move on most of this current first team squad, because they won't respect someone like him.
They all consider themselves better than the level they've taken us too🤔.
If that happens then Challinor would be a good shout, he's managed over 800 games, done well at every club and knows League 1.
He would probably jump at the chance to manager Leicester having spent his entire playing and managerial career in the lower leagues.

All the signs are we'll make the same mistakes as last pre-season going into the championship.
I don't understand the lack of communication from the club and indecisiveness.
We should have made a statement after the Blackburn game, thanked Rowett for his service and wish him well for the future so at least the fans know we're looking for a new manager.
Instead we have this void, Rowett talking in after game interviews how he would like the job full time etc.....
Ground hog day again that ends in relegation to league 2🤔

What does a good season look like?
in Leicester City Forum
Posted
A good season is we move on all the high earners, Faes, Winks Vesty, Kristiansen, Okoli, Mavididi, Fatawu, Skipp and Thomas without getting screwed.
Then build a new team and we win the league comprehensivly without having to sack another manager.
I couldn't care less about the paint trophy, we should only use academy players in it.
