Anyone played easy red 2? A very decent budget friendly ww2 game. Think I payed around £7.00 on xbox store and ive been pleasantly surprised at how good it is.

Been watching the strain on disney plus.....bit of a vampire thing. Quite enjoying it and perfect to watch when nothing else grabs my attention.

I will say this I'd sooner talk and banter with forest fans who actually go from time to time than man united ,Chelsea,Liverpool fans who've never been and I hate forest.

far too much forest in Grantham for me
Definitely a lot.....ironically most of my mates are forest.....its made for some intresting banter over the years. Ended up sat in the forest end the day they beat us 5-1 when Waghorn scored for us.

My daughter lives in Grantham and she’s obviously Leicester. I’ve seen a few Leicester shirts knocking about Grantham when I’ve been too, plus, a few Leeds shirts 🤷🏻♀️ It is mostly Forest though but not all, thankfully.
Im Grantham always been a few of us kicking around and definitely noticed a few younger folk following us since our prem win. However its definitely far more forest and the usual Liverpool/man united lot.

I do think that the main media is generally owned by right wing millionaires and as such even when labour do get something right they wont get any credit. Only have to look at how Raynor was treated compared to nigel with his 5 million quid gift and dodgy house purchase. Media now isn't news its just opinion peices telling folk who to hate....then theres the oversees donors......

I think our overall tax burden is comparable to some of these countries. The mismanagement of the health and social care system is v relevant.
we still pay a lot of people to do not as much as they could be doing I can’t see that changing anytime soon.
Things like NHS procurement need looking at....for example if a fridge breaks the trust cant just go and buy a cheap one for £300 quid ...it goes to procurement and they end up buying the same fridge for double the price. That goes for everything pens up to complex machines......lunacy.

It does, I recall struggling on week 2 and looking ahead at what weeks 4 and 5 were and thinking there wasnt as chance in hell id be able to run for 5 minutes without stopping let alone 20. Anyway, I bottled it and repeated week 3 a few times before I had the balls to try and progress
. After I managed week 4 I couldn't believe how I had the lungs and willpower to get through the remaining weeks but I did. Now ive done a few half marathons without stopping and worryingly rely on running for my own mental health
Brilliant stuff well done mate must give you a great sense of achievement. 👏

Well done. Honestly, it’s quite often an internal battle to keep yourself going but when I’ve got past that, it personally find the rewards massively outweigh the effort.
Ask me in a month's time 🤣🤣👍 in truth im not unfit as in carrying loads of weight and my jobs very physical but my cardio is lacking and id just like to be able to run 5k to keep in reasonable shape.

Been reading books, going swimming or cooking meals for me and my partner in the evenings instead of sitting at the computer or watching tv. Been arranging more card and board game sessions with friends or games of darts/pool at the pub (mostly only drinking soft drinks) too.
I’m not going to say I’m still not addicted or it’s a cure all, but it’s definitely helping my mental health. Really showing me what a negative affect screentime has on my brain chemistry.
Ive actively ditched most social media and like yourself try to do more practical hobbies. I have kept insta and do spend more time than I'd like online however painting ,drawing and model making whilst listening to music has definitely made an impact on me. Whilst I've never suffered with depression ive had periods of anxiety that I've had to deal with. Also ditched Alcohol 4.5 years ago. The model making has led me into ww2 tabletop gaming.....something I'd have looked down at in my youth as too nerdy. Not giving a shit what others think has also done wonders. Good luck with everything folks we've all got our battles.

One of my favourite games ever - Doomdark's Revenge - had over 6000 locations in it. On a 48k machine! And in each location you could look towards eight different directions.
In terms of memory size to map area ratio, it must be the largest terrain based game (not getting into any Elite or No Man's Sky arguments) ever.
Oh my god I loved that and Lords of midnight.....literally one of my all time favourites. Commanding whole armies and taking citedels and fortresses. Happy days ....even have lords of midnight on my phone.

Has there ever been a semblance of independence from the British press?

Now apparently the green party are banning horse racing. All the right wing rags on it, jenrick and co tweeting about it.
Is it a policy? No. A single tweet from 2018 is the sole rationale for the latest pile on. All just honest journalism though, I'm sure
The press in this country needs to held to account.....its losing it semblance of independence. Turning into rich people's mouth peices.

There is a clip from a recent meeting where Trump has some of his sycophants either side of him. One is coming out with nauseous and numerous 'praises' for Trump and when he finally finishes, Trump turns to another fella to his right and actually says, beat that!
And this other fella actually does his best to do just that.
It was absolutely unbelievable. I sat aghast watching it.
Jesus wept thats insane......im getting flash backs to the twilight zone episode "its a good life"
