  1. hi my name is johnnyboy but i am 85 but been a city fan since iwas passed over as a boy to get to the front by cityfans. like many fans of my ilk we have waited years for the city to come good. i did go to wembly in 1969 within a couple of hours after finishing a nightshift the friend who took me had a quality car, his wife had asmall shopping car a ford. i was hoping and expecting to go in the big motor and catch up on some sleep, but they decidedto use the ford anglia, it was a terrible trip i had no where to put my head it was not big enough for me to lie down and the seat backs only came up to the shoulder blades? it was a dreadful journey both ways. but thats devotion to your team. any way to the reason why i am writing today.i am very new to this format so it has not been easy for me to get any comments in, its a shame that the forum has not got a quick response channel where one canmake a quick comment or a suggestion or the like. so i have chosen to jump on to this channel to make a couple of mute points, i hope i do not upset the crowd or the owner of this channel .i dont know ifwhat i am about to say has been covered but i will soon find out. my main point is there is no reason for j vardy to leave the city, in my opinion, it would be a big mistake because not only does he scare opponents even now but lets remember that there have been other players in the past who have played into their 40s.where city are concerned vardys goal starvation has been the lack of studying when where and how he got his goals, for example city let marc albriton leave a good winger who could put the ball on a tanner in the box he constantley fed the ball to vardy especially to his head resulting in goals, other players have done similar moves to vardys feet same result. so why are we letting an asset like vardy go so easy, lets face it he IS THE FOX IN THE BOX. is it the manager? or some other issue. I AM VERY SUPRISED THAT TOP IS LETTING IT HAPPEN WITHOUT A CONVERSATION WITH VARDY? MY second concern is that most of us lads first kicked a ball in the streets of leicester-shires then it became a part of our education , or rugby/cricket some were good enough to play both amature/proffesional sport, all played the BRITISH SPORTING WAY being contact sports one learned to take the knocks and bruises that were the norm .then the ITALIANS/ARGENTINIANS ALONG WITH THE SPANISH/PORTUGESE, CAME ALONG, they were amazing to observe and what they could do with the ball made us wonder if we had missed something, WE HAD. after afew matches of playing the continentals/south americans, and we were falling foul of the referees etc, with all of their magic the players could not play the BRITISH WAY. they did not like the shoulder to shoulder touching football that we played, that is why they had gotten away with it they wanted PRETTY FOOTBALL NOT AGGRESIVE FOOTBALL. they wanted to change our game. unfortunately we had to learn their game to stay in the bigger european cup matches etc or lose out luckily afew of our players picked up in their training and countered their style of play. my concern is as we are allowing both foriegn and usa consortiums to buy our clubs, though its big money for the FA etc. does it mean that they want to change our national sport. we cannot allow for this to happen, money or not. american sport is to emphatic on the $ and they constantly promote certain sportspersons because profit is paramount to them. i only hope that the great british sporting people stand up to any interferance in our national games. UNION JACK FLYS PROUD. THANK YOU FOR ANYONE READING THIS . my time here is almost done so its up to you who remain to save your game. johnnyboy.
