Bit of a random bit of info I can throw into the mix. I am currently doing some work for one of the staff members involved with the first team and met with him this morning. I asked him the direct question about when will the new manager be unveiled and he said they are all in the dark as to exactly when (wasn’t expecting him to disclose a top level secret 😂) but then went on to say the club have been open with staff members that the new manager will be joining for Austria and they weren't overly concerned about the period running up to Austria as that was mainly fitness and conditioning training. He is leaving for Austria Wednesday morning so expect an announcement Tuesday evening/Wednesday morning by the looks of it.

Thanks for this.  However, if the club are not concerned about getting

anyone in early as it's mainly fitness work etc, then they are even more incompetent than I already thought.  Surely number one priority is seeing how fit/unfit our squad is.  We have been told we need to sell before we can buy so the manager should have been announce days after sacking RVN not weeks!

Can't even be arsed to stay for a friendly they went out of their way to attend in the arse end of nowhere, when there are less than 1,000 there. lol

We truly have one of, if not the, most pathetic fanbases in the world. I go to Non League with three times as many, on a busy road with crap traffic, and everyone stays til the end. No excuse.

    In the world pmsl

  3. Am I the only one that is getting totally fed up with the new manager issue.  I have booked my train, hotel and wiped my season ticket.  In a pub today in glasgow and asked who are manager is...."I don't know" was a bit embarrassing as if I am not a true supporter

By any metric (recent success; quality of players; stadium; training ground; wage expenditure; infrastructure; value) we are a MUCH bigger club than QPR. This will be a real step up for him at a club aiming to get promoted back to the promised land. The paying his own compensation is a red herring - he will just not be entitled to it when he gets a new job. I'd also be incredibly surprised if he earns less with us - I'm sure that there will be large bonuses if we do well.

Thank you for that.  Maybe I did not word it correctly.  I meant paying compensation to qpr not for himself.  If I am missing something then my mistake.

By that logic, any manager who considers Leicester a good job is by definition not good enough for us.

    That is a mindf**k paradox.

I don't think "any" manager would pay his own compensation and take a pay cut to come to leicester just now but we all have our opinions

  6. Maybe I am missing something.  If this guy is as good as some of the guys on here think he is then why is he considering Leicester?  Love my club but facts are....allegedly taking a pay cut, paying off some of his own compensation and coming to a club that needs to sell as we can't buy, sort of smells of desperation on his part and not imo ambition and desire.  May be wrong but looks like no offers from many other clubs for him.

  8. Not sure about you guys but getting sick of this.  To be honest tho  I have got to the stage where I see it as "your only as good as your last job".  None of the managers mentioned have a CV of doing consecutive great jobs at clubs otherwise they would be way out of our reach.  They are mentioned because they have done at least one good job so who is to say none of them could do another one?  I have preferred choices but that does not mean they will definitely do a good job as football does not work like that and certainly not under our group of so called leaders. Whoever is chosen I will get behind them.  We all know that the team manager is not the biggest issue at Leicester by a country mile.

There was just a tweet from Jason Bourne that was taken down. Something about an announcement today but it didn't happen because of the Jota news.

God bless jota but it hasn't stopped signings today so not convinced it would stop an announcement

But the OP said he'd come from London?? Why would he come up to Leicester to just get on another train and go back??

Took the wrong train, couldn't  see the noticeboard through his ego?
