Problem is the floodgates have opened now. If there’s a fine anywhere near that Everton were given then that probably means the end of the 1884 Leicester City, we will go bankrupt

How Sadler and Hughes have managed to cling on is completely beyond me. Both of them utterly hopeless and complicit our downfall. Sadler twice ffs.

Just burst out laughing at this:
"Russell will be supported by a football structure focused on alignment, accountability and high standards."
Alignment = we all wannabe City Group
Accountability = no blame on us, fans fault really
High Standards = Andrew ‘set piece king’ Hughes

There goes any hope that the new puppet director of football would have a brain or make a difference
Meanwhile Sheff Weds appoint Simon Wilson today. An actual sporting director. They finish well well clear of us this season.

Sadler and Hughes still here… and no staff announced yet. THE LEICESTER WAY
Just seen they’ve announced that Rowett and Davidson gone but somehow that fraud Hughes and coattail rider Sadler not been mentioned as leaving. Jesus Christ.

Just posted him and Davidson gone bye bye

Good word salad there from McCarron. What a bloke

The only thing that would have made that goal better would be Faes flapping his arms around shouting at the rest of the defenders. Belgium missed a trick not picking him
-
Nobody will sign this toad permanently when he’s under contract. Getting as much of his wages off the books and making sure he doesn’t come anywhere near Seagrave the only way forward.
-
Braybrooke Smallbone and Page wouldn’t be a bad midfield 3.

Announcement should be later today.
likely get a Gary Rowett post first, then this announced.
Including who else is staying and going? Needs at least someone with him who can challenge him when things not working.
-
Sadly one who will leave for a pittance and do incredibly well if he stays fit. As with other players we will be lowballed as clubs will know how desperate our situation is re our finances and needing to lose players in order to bring players in. Rudkin and Glover entirely to blame for it all.

My bet is that we've now reached agreement with West Brom to release Gill and there'll be an announcement tomorrow, saying he's coming as Martin's Assistant Manager. I think Rhys Owen will also be there. Parker is very unlikely and I reckon Begovic will stay as Goalkeeping Coach, so no Thornton.
As to who Martin keeps from the current backroom staff, Kingy yes, Hughes probably not (hopefully) and I can't remember who the current Analyst is.
Think Gill isn’t under contract at WBA, as originally signed till end of season, he had an offer on the table so likely to have had the choice of either option. Maybe taking longer to get anyone else coming out of other clubs.

His Southampton team did press high and their turnover stats were decent in the championship, they scored more goals than Enzos LCFC did from open play and he did show a little bit of flexibility moving to a back 3 when he played Leeds and West Brom towards end of that season which is more than Cifuentes or Rowett showed any signs of doing.
That’s all I’ve got.

Is Cirkin from Sunderland any good? Over 100 games at this level and above. Only 24. Inexplicably Latvian. Can’t be worse than Thomas or Kristansen surely?
Not a chance he doesn’t go to a championship club chasing playoffs. Good character, decent player, hard worker. West Brom or Sheff Utd written all over him

Very few friendlies against teams in same division are ever hosted domestically. Shite pre season tournaments abroad different story. Dont think we’ve ever done this in the 40 years I’ve been following them.

Gill worked with Martin at Southampton and Swansea.
Was his assistant at rangers too. Went to WBA short term helping Morrison and not been announced since he’s signed a perm contract at WBA

Good we appear to not be simply rolling over, and fair play to Monga and family for whatever agreement made last summer. Be good to get a decent level of pure profit in so early in the window
