alex Posted 5 September 2004 Posted 5 September 2004 Whats he done for the club then thats so great?Got us promoted, with non of his signings? 17163[/snapback] Erhh, yeah, I would say that was a ****ing good effort, consdiering the problems the club experienced. People like Keown coming to the club will help in the long-term for the likes of Stearman etc. and the main reason he came to us was due to Adams...You'll eat your words I reckon, I truly do.
Guest Daniel Posted 5 September 2004 Posted 5 September 2004 I reckon you will agree with me in a few months or even better weeks. He will be gone, and left this club in trouble.
alex Posted 5 September 2004 Posted 5 September 2004 Why do you feel like that? Why/ because we were relegated last year? Or because we've had a bad start? I don't think either are good enough reasons, you did't see Megson being hounded did you? Or Curbishley when Charlton went down, and yes I accept that some of MA's signings haven't performed at the level we would like, but there are many that I think have been superb. I just think this is a complete over reaction. Our club needs stability.
Guest Daniel Posted 5 September 2004 Posted 5 September 2004 Our club needs a new manager. Which of his signings have ben superb? You see managers in the premiership getting slagged because of there shit signings and flops. Micky Adams has signed more arseholes than any other manager i can think of. When it comes to youth the guy aint got a clue. If we get promoted this season, whats he going to do then? Sign old has beens like he did last season, come back down and sign more. This club has no future at the moment.
alex Posted 5 September 2004 Posted 5 September 2004 Good signings - Thatcher, Bent, Canero, Keown, Morris (trust me on that), Williams, Nalis (I think), Connelly, Tiatto, Dublin, Dabizas, Gudjohnsson (trust me on that too), Ferdinand... Bad signings - Curtis, Howey, Hignett, Gillespie, Wilcox. Your point?

Morris - Cant say good or bad yet. Williams - Hasnt done anything yet. Connelly - Hasnt scored in 5. Dublin - Done nothing at all, terrible performances. Gudjonsson - Whats he done good?

Morris - Agree, but I have seen him a few times and he is effective, quick and skillfull, I just hope he gets a go. Williams - Needs time, he's young, promising and let's not forget how gutted F***st were to lose him. Connelly - MON didn't win for quite a few when he arrivbed too, he looks sharp and is quality, against Brighton he could still be playing and he wouldn't have had a half decent supply. Dublin - I agree, but he IS definite quality, which will win out in the end I'm sure. Gudjohnsson - Tenacious player with a bite, needs a bit of time but again is young and will be good IMO.

At the end of the day none of these have proved you right at this club. Agreed?
Hullfox Posted 5 September 2004 Posted 5 September 2004 But what do you base your calling for Mickey's head before the start of last season? How can you justify that? Given the limited budget that Mickey has been given and the obvious eye that you have for a player BM, who would you have signed differently. Even the best managers with most money sign some duffers, it's a occupational hazard. If you call for a manager's head for long enough, you'll be right eventually because they all move on. Personally, I was calling for Sturrock's head from when he signed on the dotted line at Southampton and three years ago I said that Bobby Robson should go, how right I was. As for Dario Gradi I said he should be sacked 15 years ago and I'll be right soon.
Guest Daniel Posted 5 September 2004 Posted 5 September 2004 I seen the shit he signed before we started the premieship campaign and i said, he dont know what hes doing, i could see that at least 50% of what he signed was shit.

Don't forget either, some of the shit he bought has left here to stay in the premiership so he's not alone in buying shit is he? Thatcher, Bent, Ferdinand, Mckinlay and Scimeca are all at Premiership clubs and all gave us something. Curtis and Howey both went to Premiership clubs despite doing nothing here. The real bad signings in the club's history have cost us money either in fees or wages
Sparky Posted 5 September 2004 Posted 5 September 2004 im really hoping gudjohnson and williams come good but i aint seen any evidence to suggest that , i personally think that adams is tacticlly inept and obviously cannot motivate a team , his substitutions are beyond belief .we need to get rid before we are stuck in a relegation dogfight
