York City v Leicester City - Pre-season Info

My grandmother has died and I've been asked to speak about her at her

funeral. She was a big Foxes fan and always looked for their results. She

only ever made it to one game, a pre-season friendly against York City

(that's where she ended up living). It was when Brian Little was manager of

Leicester and Alan Little was at York. If you have any idea of the score

and when it was, attendance etc I would be grateful. I've surfed Leicester and York web sites and

can't find anything, probably because it was a pre-season game.

Oh the irony of the cup game at the end of the month...

I'm not 100% sure but i think it was 5th August 1994. York City away- We lost 4-2. Lewis and Draper with the goals. Attendance- don't know. I hope that's ok for you mate. Ask someone else. I am quite sure i'm right.

Magic. Thanks, ironic that the only game she went to and they got beaten..!

Incidentally her son, my uncle ended up marrying Jock Wallace's PA when he was manager. I can remember him at the wedding as being a great guy and have a photo of me with him and a couple of other players.

I still look for your results and am desparate to get to the cup game at the Reebok, providing I've recovered from my appendicitis!
