The clubs have agreed the fee for the 26-year-old, who joined the Imps from Carnegie Premier League side Coleraine at the start of last season, and if McAuley accepts the chance to move up two divisions, the deal should go ahead. Lincoln chairman of football Ray Trew told City's official website: "Both Gareth and his agent have been informed and both appear to be happy at the move. It's now down to Gareth to agree personal terms with Crewe Alexandra."
