Gala Foxes Posted 24 July 2004 Share Posted 24 July 2004 Just back home to Galashiels after todays game at Perth. Pretty easy win for City who never had to step up a gear. Wilcox at left back and Stewart in the middle of defence sweeping up beside Heath were stand outs. Scott Gemmill came on second half and looked the part. Morris and Pressman came on late in the game. Cool finish by Dublin for second goal. About 130 City fans there making themselves heard

Hullfox Posted 24 July 2004 Share Posted 24 July 2004 The Gemmill having a good game will certainly stir it up a bit
Scow Posted 24 July 2004 Share Posted 24 July 2004 The Gemmill having a good game will certainly stir it up a bit It was only against a mediocre 1st Division Scottish side - Even Stewart looked the part in central defence, what does that tell you? Highland Posted 24 July 2004 Share Posted 24 July 2004 Just got back myself, thought Williams was our stand out player,Connolly and Dublin look as though they will combine well.Didn't rate Makin,Wilcox was slightly better but is so slow wouldn't want him as regular left back.Jordan did OK in a unfamiliar role quite why he played there mystified me (Stearman?).Gillespie had plenty of possesion but always opted for the simple ball seemed afraid to take anybody on.Heath's distribution was poor,Nalis did OK along with Scowcroft.Neither Walker or Fatty were unduly bothered.Gemmil was OK when he came on,looked keen to impress. Not sure what to make of Morris, just seems a bit light-weight maybe better on the wing IMO.All in all an OK performance nothing special but yeah OK.One good thing was the noticeable absence of the 'Hoof',we passed it around a lot.
