MBK Posted 26 November 2006 Posted 26 November 2006 Nothing much to discuss but the third win out of four is impressive even for lowly scots prem because his team were the whipping boys. Did the leicester experience help at all? Not saying anything in his favour, he was one of the worst coaches in a blue shirt ever, just commenting on the irony of life. He is winning, we ain't
lookwhaticando Posted 26 November 2006 Posted 26 November 2006 He had a good record in Scotland with Hearts. He had a bad record in England. He's gone back to Scotland, and surprise of surprises, his record has been good so far. We can't say he's learned anything because all he's done is go back to his old hunting ground, where he made his name - SPL. If he went to another Championship side and got them doing the well (ie. better than he had us playing), then yes, we could claim his time with us has helped him for the future. Going back to where he made his name and continuing his record there is a different matter. In short, no, I don't think his time here had/has any bearing on his current form in the SPL.
filbertboy Posted 26 November 2006 Posted 26 November 2006 Tony Mowbary is a prime example. you guys are right comparing SPL to championship just doesnt work. no proven level of success to compare to and I think me mum would be a success up there.
Maybes Posted 26 November 2006 Posted 26 November 2006 Who cares its scottish football and the end of the day...aka crap.
Brummie-FOX Posted 26 November 2006 Posted 26 November 2006 Scottish football - Yeah you just summed it up. Didn't Inverness CT get denied the chance to play in the SPL because there ground was too small?
