They had to depend on Bristol Rovers, who were away at Hartlepool who could have been crowned Champions today. Stockport could only reach the play-offs if Bristol Rovers failed to win. So 75 minutes gone, Stockport were crusing into the play-offs, beating Darlington, with Bristol Rovers level at 1-1. 86 minutes gone, Bristol Rovers had scored to go 2-1 up against Hartlepool. Guest Gist Posted 5 May 2007 Posted 5 May 2007 It is really unlucky for Stockport, I bet they expected to be in with a shout after winning 5-0 away! Also with Rovers playing away at Hartlepool of all places, it would increase their chances.
New England Fox Posted 5 May 2007 Posted 5 May 2007 Rovers deserve it, they have been the form team over the last month or so and Trollope picked up the Manager of the Month award this week. Saw quite a few Bristol Rovers games when I lived down that way so I always look for their results.
