andyh1884 Posted 29 August 2008 Posted 29 August 2008 Pretty much every bank are a bunch of robbing, cheating bastards. A & L have a lovely new overdraft charging policy where they charge you 50p for every day you're overdrawn, up to a maximum of £5, instead of interest. This means I end up paying more for my overdraft use than I used to cos I'm only ever about £30 overdrawn for a couple of days each month. What I find particularly annoying is that when I get paid, I have a standing order that comes out to go to our joint account on the same day. Even though they're on the same day, they take the standing order first, which sends me overdrawn & earns them 50p. I know it's only a small amounts, but it's the principle of the matter! And as for how long it takes to transfer money from one bank to another, well that's just a licence for them to stiff you on lost interest
