Hobbs The Best Of A Poor Bunch

Tranmere Rovers 2-0 Leicester City

11 March 2009

Jack Hobbs claimed his fourth man of the match of the season as Leicester succumbed to their first league defeat in 23 games. Hobbs did not have too much competition being the only player to receive a rating above 6, but Tom Cleverley and Matty Fryatt did enough to claim their places in the top 3.

Joe Mattock struggled in his unfamiliar left wing role and was voted as City's flop of the match. Centre back Michael Morrison did little to impress either finishing just above Mattock with Mattock's replacement at left back Chris Powell finishing 3rd-bottom out of those eligible.
