Car/Mechanic People!

Ok, so I was driving my corsa home from work earlier, got about half way home and went to change gear - the gear stick was no longer stiff as it should be, could be waggled around, and wouldnt go into gear properly. I seem to have sort of gears 2 - 4, no reverse, no 5th and i cant find 1st! It feels like somethings popped out somewhere along the line, so was wondering for any car people what the diagnosis is and what the cost is for repair?

Any help very much appreciated. Cheers.

Corsa's that were made from 2000 to 05 all should have had a recall on the gear linkages as it tends to fook up.

Some were'nt done though. My old car was a corsa and that did the same as you have just explained I had to get the part which should have been about £60 but I managed to book it somewhere else ;) and I got my mate at work to fit it for me.

It was a shitter of a job though so If you take it to a garage be ready for them to quote you £200-£300!

Hope this helps.

Cheers.
