"Another Cardiff midfielder, Darcy Blake, has been in the headlines this week after manager Dave Jones gave him stick for eating too many burgers and other fast foods. Jones also mentioned struggling to keep Matt Le Tissier out of McDonalds when he was Southampton manager! "I was always pretty disciplined with what I ate. My pre-match meal was either cornflakes with banana or chicken and beans. Tony Cottee used to insist on having a full-English breakfast before every game, even when the dieticians advised against it. I remember him wolfing one down before scoring the winner at Old Trafford in 1998, so it can’t have done him too much harm!"
