Tommy Posted 17 May 2005 Posted 17 May 2005 Championship rivals Sheffield United and Leeds United have been in contact with Watford with a view to signing Heidar Helguson, BBC Sport understands. The Icelandic international, 27, who has one year left on his contract, has recently been offered a new deal by Watford, who value Helguson at £1.5m. Two other undisclosed Championship clubs are also pondering whether to make a move for the Icelandic striker. Helguson, who is currently on holiday in Dubai, scored 20 goals last season. Tommy Posted 18 May 2005 Author Posted 18 May 2005 I forgot to say, personally i dont want Helguson here, although i know a few of you do. I feel it would be better if he was to go to Leeds or the Blades
