"It’s always sad when you come to a point during the season where you are not fighting on all fronts in the various competitions, and even more so when you’re out of Twenty20 Cup and have started with such high expectations. Of course, we are now into the final two weeks of the season, and after a poor showing in the Pro40 league everyone at Leicestershire is now playing for pride in the Championship . I say pride because that is exactly what individuals’ performances come down to at the end of the day. "I mentioned in a team speech in Essex with the 2nd XI team last week that individual pride in your own performance leads to collective pride in what you believe you can achieve as a team. And that is exactly what we are judged on; victories by the team that are only achieved by the abilities of the members within it to stand up and be counted once they have crossed the white line.
