Clive Redman Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 In his latest blog, Steve Walsh talks about getting points on the board in the league and City's Carling Cup prospects... "Tonight’s game is so much more important than the Carling Cup. We need to get more points on the board and start climbing up the table. I’m not worried about getting drawn into a relegation fight, I just want to see City moving up the table as soon as possible, to give themselves a chance of being involved in the play-off shake up come the end of the season. Three points tonight would move us out of the bottom three and take us into another tough-looking away fixture, against Norwich on Tuesday, in good spirits. "Although league points are all-important, I’ll still be watching Saturday’s Carling Cup draw with interest. It’s a good achievement to get to the last 16 of the competition and the cup games have clearly provided a good distraction for the players, as they’ve been able to perform under less pressure. It would be nice to get one of the big boys away, but then again, I’d take a home draw against someone like Northampton or Brentford. That would give City a great chance of progress to the quarter-finals, and you never know after that!"
