I was at Pride Park and the name of the stadium was quite fitting as I felt so proud of the way the lads played against one of our local rivals. Derby aren’t a great side but it was men against boys for large periods of the game. City didn’t score four goals in the first 15 minutes like we did back in 1998, but the performance was just as comprehensive. The lads in midfield were zipping the ball around for fun and pulling the Derby players all over the pitch. Richie Wellens and Paul Gallagher are in great form at the moment and Yakubu must be relishing the service he’s getting at City. The Yak’s goal was a touch of Premier League class and the team look so dangerous going forward at the moment.
