Tommy Posted 3 June 2005 Posted 3 June 2005 Coventry boss Micky Adams has pledged his future to the club by signing a new two-year deal with the Sky Blues. Adams guided Coventry to Championship safety after joining in January when they were languishing in 20th place. "A lot was made over the fact I hadn't signed, but it was agreed in principle. There were just a few things I did not agree with," he told the club website. "But that's all been ironed out and I look forward to the next two years. It was never a problem." The ex-Leicester boss agreed a two-and-a-half year deal when he first moved to Highfield Road - but had not previously put pen to paper. Adams urged fans to be patient during the coming weeks with a number of players yet to short out their futures. "Players will obviously look for the best deals they can, but all the players have stressed that they want to stay at the football club," he said. "But you and I know that if they can get a better deal down the road then it will be tough to keep them."
