"We’ve had a couple of friendlies already and I’ve managed to get through all of the overs ok as well as playing a 40 over game the other day. I haven’t scored a lot of runs but I think that will come with time when I focus my mind on some of the bigger games, and we’ve got the first Championship game to switch on to at the end of this week. "We’ve got a lot of cricket coming up and there maybe games that I need to sit out. I’ve looked at the calendar and potentially the Loughborough University game and the Sri Lanka A game are ones that I could sit down with the management and talk about. I want to be playing all forms of the game so maybe I need to miss the odd game and perhaps get six or seven days when I can put my feet up or maybe go to yoga and manage it all a little better. I’m the wrong side of 30 now so all of these things need to be taken into consideration." "We’re at a very exciting place and we’re all enjoying being back with each other and looking forward to getting out there on the pitch. There’s no point having a great team spirit and not converting that into results, and that’s what it comes down to. "If you’re turning up with a smile on your face and enjoying the environment you’re in then that makes you want to keep doing what you’re doing and keep playing and the guys are a joy to be around. Part of the culture at the club has been down to Matthew Hoggard’s leadership as well and it’s something you want to be a part of. As you get older you play the game to be successful and you still want to kick on to a higher level.
