spondonowl Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Ladies and Gents, Firstly i apologise that this may not be posted in the correct section. However i feel it needs the largest audience possible. Basically I am attempting to lobby the government to put pressure on the Premier League to alter it's current governance. Currently the Premier League's decision making panel consists of 20 shareholders each with one vote and each representing a Premier League (PL) club. Given the importance of the Premier League in English football and its influence on the Football League (FL) i would like to see the government engage with the PL with a view to the inclusion of a Football League representative with the capability of voting on decision (i.e. having one vote and holding a veto). I think the Football League has been neglected for too long by the Premier League and i for one would like to see the PL recognise the importance of the FL to it's own future prosperity by endorsing this change. Please sign the petition below if you agree with my sentiments and if possible get others to sign also. Given the changes brought about to the academy systems in England i feel this change is required to help safeguard the future of the FL. http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/19895 (Mods can this be pinned??) Please don't just sign this petition, post it on twitter, post in on facebook, post it everywhere. I am going forum by forum to appeal to people to sign (you are the second forum after owlstalk i have appealed to). It only takes two seconds to sign and post on, but this could affect the future of the FL. Cheers, Phil Haigh
spondonowl Posted 26 October 2011 Author Posted 26 October 2011 No-one has signed this? Is no one but a little put out about the new rules on academy players?
