BillC Posted 13 December 2011 Posted 13 December 2011 It is my melancholic duty to tell people who would have known Jim that he took his life on the 30th November. He was a life long supporter although Bradford born his father came from Leicester and a love of the club was instilled at a very early age. I knew him from University days at York and went to the occasional match with him. ( I recall a freezing day watching a cup game against Hull in January 1978) I know that the club and his friends treated him royally went he was 50 a few years back. I also think he wrote for the fanzine Jim had a great passion for the game. He was kind, considerate, witty and learned. I cannot conceive what made him end his life by jumping in the River Ouse. His funeral will be at Bedford at a woodland cemetery. It will be a natural funeral and there will be no religious ceremony. His coffin will be adorned with blue and white flowers representing his beloved LCFC Dear Jim rest in eternal peace troubled soul
