Guest parky0607 Posted 21 March 2012 Posted 21 March 2012 Just thought id let you know to leave plenty of time getting to the ground (if going in car) as 2 of the main roads in blackpool are shut (devonshire road and central drive) and if you are going down the promenade, expect congestion with the new 20mph zone in place. Lytham road also has roadworks at the bloomfield road junction with temporary lights which take an age to change. Side streets around queen victoria road are free to park but this is a fairly poor area of blackpool so take any LCFC stuff down...If you have the time the car parks behind blackpool north train station are the cheapest(£1.50 for 4 hours i think) and its a 2 mile (25 minsish) walk from there. The pubs near the ground dont let away fans in, so drink in the town centre (theres a new wetherspoons on the promenade) and walk down. hope this helps
Underdog Posted 21 March 2012 Posted 21 March 2012 Cheers for the update. We've usually been to the Excelsior or the Auctioneer on Lytham Road, and never had any issues getting in but the Wetherspoons on the promenade sounds a good bet.
Guest parky0607 Posted 21 March 2012 Posted 21 March 2012 yes the auctioneer is also another wetherspoons pub and should be fine too!
