Cycling Routes UK

I am organising a cycling weekend away with my dad and brothers, we are quite keen cyclists. Can anybody suggest any good cycle routes (with some good pubs along the way) in and around the uk? Preferably somewhere within 1-2 hours of Leicester. Note; we've done the Tissington Trail a number of times, so don't suggest that!

I'm doing the coast to coast at the end of the month, you can do that easily in a couple of days.
