"That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there-on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot.
Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.
The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand.
It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known."Sagan was such a genius with words.

The usual 5-0 looks likely. We just crumble so easily. Same old.

A draw isn’t negative for test cricket. It’s just test cricket. If it’s too slow for you, there’s plenty of other formats…

Also earlier he was saying to ‘stay cool’. Now this. So who’s whispered in his ear?
-
Trump pausing tariffs already. Is he bipolar? Or just absolutely off his rocker?

Won the treble with Peterborough United on Football Manager in my 7th season. Sacked me the season after for only finishing 5th. Delusions of grandeur.
-
We’ve completed football manager in real life. So who’s bothered. End of an era and all that but at least we saw it. Back to reality.

Why would most of the climate change deniers care when they're not gonna be around to see the consequences anyway. Trump especially... he's gonna be dead in 15-20 years. Why would he care. Can I make money now, gotta make money now.
Sadly this isn't going away anytime soon. We have an intentionally divisive ignorant man as arguably the most powerful person in the world, with his followers seeing him as a hero. Good times.

Not if Vards is using his own influence and power with the board to ensure he plays. He might believe that the only way out of our predicament is for him to play/score to lift the team and the board may well be in agreement with that and putting the pressure on the manager. If (and it's an if, but i have my suspicions) thats the case, then it's the boards fault.
I’d argue that the manager is in charge of team selection. Not Vardy.
-
Yeah the guy shouldn’t be playing 3 games in a week. It’s our own fault. We’re basically running him into the ground and expecting results. Not the way to treat our GOAT, and an even sadder way to retire on this note. We need a big reset.
-
Vardy finally being 38 then.
-
Might sign out for the rest of the season. Diminishing returns, and I value my mental health.
championship beckons. -
Think it’s time for a few years in the championship and a bit of a reset. We’ve had a decent 10 years. Back to normal service for us I think.

Not much difference between Thomas and Kristensen tbh
I reckon he might be slightly less shit. Fine margins though.
