tbf its pretty level thinking from the EFL in terms of throwing them out of the play offs, as they class them as a separate knock out competition compared to the league, and they kicked Swindon out the Vertu Trophy earlier this season for fielding 2 ineligible players but looking deeper at the whole transcript the EFL released on it, they deserved it....for lying in regards evidence in the first place etc

the more and more that comes out the worse it gets, you actually feel sorry for the younger lads as theyve more than likely been pressured into doing the spying, more than likely threated with potentially losing their jobs

still boggling how chelsea only got what a 10mil fine for all the sporting advantages they got over a number of years for the agent payments something massively wrong with the game when Southampton get the punishment they did(the correct one imo) and chelsea get off so lightly, its incredibly easy to see why so many people are falling out of love with football at the top level

i agree its a load of bollocks in regards the Man City stuff, even the hearing/evidence was done well over 18months ago, even think a verdict might be known by a small few

wow that statement is a load of waffle isnt it, trying to compare their what theyve done to leeds....Im pretty sure Leeds did theirs during the season, not the play offs....they did it once....and the rules were brought in after that, they got fined and later knocked out the play offs by derby.... the CEO of Southampton comes out with all that woe is them....plain and simple they went against the rules and tried to cheat...and got caught..they did it at least 3 times.....its 100% more than that cos there isnt no way they go from just doing it in december watching Oxford to back again in April when they watched Ipswich.... if you are going to cheat(try to) dont get caught idiots.....what they get, id be saying the same thing to us if it happened and all it does if this is overturned.....it shows cheats do prosper and there is no serious penalties for breaking rules etc

youd hope it would be later tonight but more likely in the coming weeks potentially I still dont get how some think the punishment is a bit over the top..like these two i honestly do wonder about them....like would either of them be saying it if say us or Newcastle had the same thing happen? of course not

only 3 they mentioned themselves to try and get some grace i suspect certainly wouldnt shock anyone if they did it more than the 3 mentioned you feel for the fans but imo its a deserved punishment

im with you, its a total mess with it all, Saints dont deserve to be in the final due to the spying on numerous occasions this season....they mentioned oxford and Ipswich.....but its likely more if you really go into forensic detail; be very surprised if they get reinstated.....can imagine they could get points back
